Kalyuzhnaya explained that money within a couple is directly connected to security and trust, which means refusing to discuss spending is perceived as leading a double life. She noted that this issue is especially severe when loans, debts, or major purchases emerge from a shared budget. The psychiatrist added that secretly accumulating debt behind a partner's back constitutes financial infidelity.

Money Disputes and Mental Health

Kalyuzhnaya emphasized that other financial conflicts can also destroy trust in a marriage. These include situations where a person feels afraid to ask their partner where money was spent. Trust is similarly broken when an individual is forced to account to a husband or wife for every single purchase.

In related medical advice, psychiatrist Eduard Kholodov previously explained what serious mental health conditions constant severe anxiety might indicate. According to the doctor, ongoing intense anxiety can be a symptom of panic disorder.
