Louis Vuitton Launches Beauty Collection With Pat McGrath

Louis Vuitton has debuted its first La Beauté cosmetics collection, created by Nicolas Ghesquière and Dame Pat McGrath to mark 130 years of the monogram.

Louis Vuitton Launches Beauty Collection With Pat McGrath

French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has launched its debut cosmetics line, La Beauté Louis Vuitton, created through a collaboration between Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière and cosmetics Creative Director Dame Pat McGrath.

The limited-edition collection marks the 130th anniversary of the fashion house's signature monogram motif. The products were made available online on August 20, 2026, ahead of a worldwide release in physical boutiques on August 27, 2026.

The launch moves the long-standing creative partnership between Ghesquière and McGrath from fashion show backstages into consumer cosmetics. Designed to reflect contrasting facets of the Louis Vuitton woman, the line features two distinct color aesthetics named Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge.

Louis Vuitton, founded in Paris in 1854, is world-renowned for its high-end leather goods, luggage trunks, and fashion lines. The trademark LV monogram was originally created by Georges Vuitton in 1896 as a tribute to his late father. Ghesquière has served as artistic director of womenswear since 2013, while McGrath, a celebrated British makeup artist created a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, oversees the brand's cosmetics line.

Monogram Dune Palette Features Warm Neutral Tones

The Monogram Dune range draws inspiration from desert landscapes and the shifting ways natural light alters color and dimension. The aesthetic emphasizes quiet, polished, and timeless beauty through warm nude, beige, and soft neutral tones designed to act like a second skin.

The Monogram Dune collection includes three core beauty products:

  • LV Ombres 724 Monogram Dune Eyeshadow Palette, priced at €300, which offers warm earthy tones suitable for subtle daily looks or sophisticated smoky eyes.
  • LV Rouge 724 Monogram Dune Satin Lipstick, priced at €170, designed to deliver nude color and satin shine to the lips.
  • LV Baume 098 Stellar Veil Topper Lip Balm, priced at €170, a lip topper intended as a final touch of light to impart a sheer, luminous finish.

McGrath described the Dune range as luminous and warm, adding that it conveys a sense of quiet self-confidence that does not need to make noise.

Monogram Infrarouge Delivers High Contrast Beauty Looks

In contrast to the soft neutrals of Dune, the Monogram Infrarouge line offers a dynamic aesthetic centered on bold contrast. Inspired by the house's signature Infrarouge pattern, where deep black meets vibrant red, this side of the collection is tailored for dramatic eye makeup and statement lips.

The Monogram Infrarouge lineup features three matching cosmetic items:

  • LV Ombres 715 Monogram Infrarouge Eyeshadow Palette, priced at €300, created for intense, dramatic eye looks that command attention.
  • LV Rouge 715 Monogram Infrarouge Satin Lipstick, priced at €170, serving as the central statement piece of the collection.
  • LV Baume 099 Galactic Veil Topper Lip Balm, priced at €170, a luminous lip topper designed to add dimension and reflective shine.

McGrath described Infrarouge as representing the most fearless and unapologetic side of the Louis Vuitton woman, noting that it is aimed at a woman who does not ask for attention but earns it.

Two Decades of Runway Collaboration Move to Retail

The debut cosmetics range builds on more than two decades of collaboration between McGrath and Ghesquière. Throughout their shared history, McGrath has designed the runway makeup for Louis Vuitton fashion shows, translating the mood, energy, and character of each collection into cosmetics.

Ghesquière explained that beauty had always been an integral part of how he perceives a fashion silhouette. He noted that makeup completes the overall character, attitude, and emotion of a runway look, which can now be incorporated into daily personal routines.

According to the brand, the collection aims to bring the atmosphere of a Louis Vuitton fashion show into everyday beauty rituals. Rather than targeting a single ideal, La Beauté Louis Vuitton is designed to accommodate different expressions of individual style, whether quiet or boldly statement-making.

The limited-edition La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection is accessible online starting August 20, 2026, and will be sold in stores from August 27, 2026.
