STV Film Company has officially started production on Little Muck, a new live-action feature film produced in collaboration with television network TNT, distributor Central Partnership, 1-2-3 Production, and M5 Production.
Director Andrei Shavkero is directing the project, which brings together several leading Russian production and media companies to adapt the classic fairytale for modern cinema audiences.
Film Plot and Cast
According to the film's storyline, a young hero known by the nickname Little Muck embarks on a journey to the capital city to save his father, who has been unfairly imprisoned. Guided by a pair of magical shoes that bestow incredible speed, he must rescue Princess Amina, liberate his father, and restore the water supply to his native village.
The ensemble cast for the upcoming feature includes Artyom Koshman, Andrei Fedortsov, Polina Gukhman, Evgeniya Dmitrieva, Pavel Derevyanko, and Vladimir Epifantsev, alongside additional cast members.

The character of Little Muck comes from the classic 1826 fairytale The Story of Little Muck by German author Wilhelm Hauff, a classic work of Romantic literature adapted across Europe over the past two centuries. Production entity STV Film Company, founded by producer Sergey Selyanov, is a major Russian independent studio, while Central Partnership serves as a primary film distributor and TNT operates as a national television network. Co-producers 1-2-3 Production and M5 Production are established film and television companies.
The cast features several notable figures in Russian screen acting. Pavel Derevyanko, Evgeniya Dmitrieva, Vladimir Epifantsev, and Andrei Fedortsov possess extensive filmographies across popular cinema and television, while Artyom Koshman and Polina Gukhman represent a rising generation of screen talent.
