Presenter and model Lisa Snowdon has confirmed the end of her 12-year relationship with fiancé George Smart, declaring she is entering her "second act".

The 54-year-old said she is "feeling strong" and "feeling happy" following the split from the entrepreneur, who she first briefly dated 20 years ago before they reconnected in 2014.
"I'm feeling excited about what the future is," she said. Asked if it was difficult to end a relationship at 54, she added: "Age didn't come into it at all. I think it was more people change. We both changed. You grow apart. That's what happened."

"People change and now what's going to be my future, you know? It's just quite exciting," she said.
The couple got engaged in 2016, with Snowdon describing Smart at the time as "selfless, honest, kind, wise, calm and thoughtful". However, the television personality had previously expressed reservations about tying the knot, saying last year she worried marriage could change a relationship that was already working.
Speaking to Hello! magazine in March 2025, she said she was in no rush to marry. "A lot of women imagine walking down the aisle. They imagine their flowers, their dresses, and I just have never had that vision," she said. "It's just a contract at the end of the day."
"I don't want everybody looking at me, which is weird because I do television and hosting," she added. "I'm just really relaxed and so is George. It will happen, but I just don't know what that looks like."
George Clooney relationship
Snowdon's return to the single life follows a string of high-profile relationships, most notably a five-year romance with Oscar-winning actor George Clooney.

The pair met on the set of a Martini advert in Barcelona in 2000 and spent time together in Los Angeles while Snowdon worked on photoshoots and the BBC show LA Pool Party. They split in 2005, reportedly due to the distance between England and the United States.
Writing in a travel feature for The Times, Snowdon recalled: "We once stayed in a great apartment in Santa Monica looking on to the beach. I also got an apartment in Venice. I was working on E! Entertainment's coverage of the Oscars and Golden Globes. LA was a great place to work and have fun."
The split came as a surprise to fans, as the 65-year-old actor had praised their relationship just a month earlier. "Lisa and I get along well and she's comfortable with my tendency to be a workaholic," Clooney said. "She has her own life and her own career and she's very independent that way. She makes things very easy for me."
Snowdon later described him as "charming, a really nice man, good fun", adding that they had a "quite wild" time. "Sometimes I think it will be written on my tombstone: 'George Clooney once dated Lisa Snowdon'," she said, though she declined to answer questions about his sexual prowess, saying: "I never tell."
While she lost touch with Clooney, Snowdon said on I'm A Celebrity in 2016 that she remains friends with his Ocean's Eleven co-star Matt Damon, noting: "He came to my birthday party. He's really nice."
Gary Dourdan romance

Distance also ended her 2002 relationship with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Gary Dourdan. They were introduced by a mutual friend in Los Angeles, but split after a year before a brief, unsuccessful reunion in 2007.
"My little fling with Gary ended just after I went to Brazil," she said at the time. "I guess too much time went past and it just kind of fizzled out. I've decided that it's not a good idea to have a long-distance relationship any more. I want someone local."
Paul Sculfor and David Walliams
Snowdon's earliest public relationship was with male supermodel Paul Sculfor, 55, who she met on a photo shoot for The Face magazine in 1992.

They began dating four years later but split in 1998. The pair remained amicable, with Sculfor attending the VIP launch of her book Just Getting Started in 2023. He previously told Hello! magazine that they maintain a friendly relationship, saying: "We still message now and then."

In 2006, she briefly dated Little Britain comedian David Walliams, who later wrote in his book about being left heartbroken by a mystery woman he referred to as "Miss X".
Snowdon later told The Sun she was the secret love interest, but clarified they had never slept together. "I was hoping no one would realise," she said. "David and I are great friends and he's such an amazing bloke, but there is no romance."
She called him a "gentleman" but said she had told him she only wanted to be friends. "We're just pals, really good friends," she said. "It was a bit weird when he said his most proudest moment was seeing me naked. That's flattering because he's seen a fair few chicks naked. People assume that we slept together, but we didn't."
Jay Bothroyd affair

Her 2010 romance with former England footballer Jay Bothroyd proved controversial when it emerged he was still married to Italian interior designer Stella Pozzi-Bothroyd. The pair met at the Inspirational Awards For Women event, which Bothroyd's wife also attended.
A source told The Sun On Sunday that Stella gave her husband an ultimatum after pictures went public. "Jay agreed at first but after a few days he admitted he couldn't give Lisa up and Stella moved out," the source said.
The affair resurfaced in 2016, with a source telling the Daily Mail that Snowdon was "devastated" and had no idea he was taken. "She wasn't going out to have an affair, he told her that he was single," the insider said. A representative for Bothroyd later told the Daily Mail he and his wife were separated when he met Snowdon, and that they got back together shortly after.
Adereti Monney court case

In January 2014, Snowdon began dating actor and DJ Adereti Monney, who also worked as will.i.am's communication manager under the name Tim Wade. A month later, they were involved in a street altercation witnessed by a police officer.
Monney later appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court and admitted assault by beating. A spokesman told the Daily Mail: "They had had an argument which led to a very minor scuffle in the street. At no point did Lisa press charges or indeed wish to press charges and the couple have moved on from the incident."
The relationship ended the following year, with an insider telling The Mirror's 3am that they remained friends but "wanted different things and couldn't make it work".
