There are many legends about a real Russian wedding. Therefore, we would not even be surprised if someone in the world still believes that balalaika bears and chariots are always on them. But seriously, all those traditions like bride price, nut biting, and pen-in-the-bottle contests have long since become memes that only Morgenstern can repeat from her 2022 wedding ceremony to make a real show. But we agree with one of the most common stereotypes – no wedding is boring!
The Fashion Vibes decided to ask the Russian stars what was so special about their celebration. And is the phrase really appropriate in this case: “Well, what a Russian wedding without a fight!”

It all started like in a good Soviet movie directed by Gaidai.
We came to Georgia for our friends’ wedding and on the way from Tbilisi to Zugdidi (about six hours) our friends asked how long we had been together. We had a seven-year relationship back then. And when friends asked if we were married and got a negative answer, they were shocked. After that, they began to persuade us to marry them. Of course, we did not want to take their day off, but they explained to us that this is a normal custom in Georgia, that several couples get married at the same time in the church. For example, the more lovers, the happier life. We refused, but when there was a meeting, banquet and chacha with relatives, the decision changed. Especially since everything was going so well, in such a special place – at our friends’ family church.
Since witnesses are very important in this sacrament, we took our friends and agreed as follows: First they get married, then we. Sabah Sasha (real name of the rapper. – note. ed.) went to buy rings with their friends, but in the end they could not find a suitable sample, size and color. Therefore, it was decided to publish them on the spot. Thus, we got two identical rings of different sizes.
We were very late for church and then the priest said that both couples would get married at the same time. Again I had to look for witnesses – they chose the mother of the groom and our close friend. Batiushka crowns us, everyone is happy, Assol shares photos on social networks. Then we go to Batumi for the feast (then it was again the covid era and it was not possible to celebrate everywhere, so we had to go there).
After a night of festivities in Moscow, we land and become the stars of the yellow press. It turned out that the media inflated the whole story that we stole the wedding: “Russian bloggers are ready for anything in the name of PR: they even steal a holiday from their friends just to draw attention to themselves.” We are in shock, our friends are in shock – they write to them, call and compensate that they have such friends.

Our wedding was in winter and we didn’t take into account that the ground could be wet and dirty because of the snow. A funny moment at our wedding happened thanks to Sasha (real name of the artist. note. ed.), decided to surprise all the guests, not just me, which was designated as a family dinner on the first day. Allegedly the incident exploded with my ex-young man who is still in love with me. He looked very worried, stood for a long time at the entrance of the room and drew attention. He wore a lowered hat and a leather jacket. In general, she differed from others in her dress code. I drew attention to him and told Sasha that I had to tell the organizers that we had some kind of strange guest there, Sasha said to him “Yes, of course”. The organizers came and said you told them you were our friend. In general, at some point this guy went to the middle of the hall and began to shout at him that I had to return and that he only loved me. Our men attacked him – my father, Sasha’s uncle, they say, now we will take care of you. I saw Sasha’s friend, I understood that this was some kind of joke, as he laughed and laughed and did not rush into a fight. And so it turned out that Sasha hired an actress so that all the guests, myself included, had an emotional rollercoaster.
The second funny moment is connected with the second day of our wedding. But the format was already different – a party with friends. Then we decided to play the car. They handed out tickets to each guest and at some point started drawing lots. The winner takes his ticket and looks for another opponent to play among themselves for the car until only two of the 200 guests remain. As a result, Anna Khilkevich won the car, and we again successfully played with her. It was very enjoyable to watch adults in a childlike mood, having fun and laughing. That was great!

I was the first to buy a veil for our wedding in Vegas with Dima. And there was another ceremony just before our painting. A thin man married a fat African-American woman and was accompanied by the bride’s drunken brother. That is, while waiting for Dima, she thought that the groom left me because I was alone.
