Alicia McCarvell, a body positive influencer from Canada, shared a cute clip on TikTok that showed her cuddling with her partner, Scott.
The couple have been married for 15 years, but despite that, the post prompted the content creator to receive a new round of comments from social media users who said the relationship didn’t seem to “take into account.”

The video has been viewed over 24 million times, with some people claiming to have married Alicia just for her money.
Some have even claimed the influencer couldn’t have been “fat” when he fell in love with her, but this isn’t the couple’s first time being abused.
In 2021, Alicia said people dubbed her “sugar mama” for bagging her bodybuilder husband.
Since then, more offensive comments have emerged and Alicia has reacted to the backlash once again.
This time he criticized society’s “junk beauty standards”, as well as people who suggested that a physically fit person “could never be in love or compatible with a fat woman.”
After the comments, he posted a new video, which has since garnered 15 million views.
In the clip, she said, “I posted a simple transition video of my husband and I going from towels to getting dressed together.
“It’s no different than what all kinds of different couples do on this app.
“My video went viral and I know we all know why. It’s because we don’t make sense by beauty standards. “
She also noted that when people see the pair, it’s common for trolls to “immediately rate Scott higher than her.”
Alicia continued: “Since we don’t count, people try to add things to my side of the equation to make sense, saying things like, ‘Oh, she didn’t have to be fat when they met” or “Oh, she, you must be rich ”.
“Or they try to belittle his part of the equation by saying things like ‘He must be gay’ or ‘He has a fetish for fat women.’
“They led us to believe that a physically fit person like Scott could never be in love or compatible with a fat woman in a million years.
“And it is only because the world has literally taught us that we must value our value [based] in our body “.
The influencer confessed that her body was telling her she wasn’t “worthy of his love” for “most of their relationship”.
He also said that “skinny” women regularly contact their husbands via DM to try to flirt, with one saying, “You should be with someone who looks like me.”
Alicia added: “I underestimate myself and she overestimates herself. We were both raised to believe that our worth resides in our bodies. ”
But speaking from her husband’s perspective, she said, “How your body matches society’s beauty standards isn’t high on its list.”
“Appreciate my humor, my commitment, my love and my caring heart,” he added.
“None of the things he likes about me change if my body changes. So when someone first slips into their DMs with their body, they ask, “But what else?”
“Because he, like me, knows that people’s values aren’t about how their bodies fit society’s scruffy beauty standards.
“And I understand, if that’s how you think, that’s how you were taught. However, it is your responsibility to unlearn it.
Although she has received a lot of negative reactions since then, Alicia is also receiving words of encouragement from some of her fans.
One person commented: “I see two beautiful people in love with each other and in love with themselves, and I live for it.”
Another added: “I’m so sorry for the amount of hatred you have to deal with. Really unbelievable.”
A third said, “You have to be really unhappy in life to comment on someone else’s relationship. It’s beautiful inside and out.”
