How to determine compatibility with blood type partner? The trend that will replace the zodiac signs from Asia

What is your zodiac sign? This question perhaps worries adherents of Western astrology almost above all when meeting a person they like. Even those who do not believe in horoscopes begin to look for signs of fate when it comes to emotions.

However, the situation is completely different for those living in Japan, China and South Korea. Yes, of course, the peoples of Asian countries have their own eastern horoscope, which is no less interesting. But in recent years, another trend has been gaining popularity: blood type compatibility.

It is important to know your blood type and Rh factor when planning a pregnancy or having surgery. Some nutritionists have even developed a special nutritional system for people with different blood groups.

When traveling in Asia, don’t be surprised if the first thing young people ask is not your name, age, profession and place of birth, but your blood type.

We’ll tell you why this trend is so popular among young couples in Asia and what exactly your blood type says about your character.

By the way, in Russia, European countries and the USA, another theory of personality psychotypes is popular – the Myers-Briggs system (MBTI), best known in our country as socionics. You can read about this topic here.

How did the theory of personality types based on blood type or the “ketsu-eki-gata” system come about?

The idea that people with the same blood type have similar personality traits emerged in Japan. The military-political alliance with Nazi Germany increased public interest in eugenics. German scientist Emil von Dangern studied the prevalence of people with different blood groups in the world and came to the conclusion that most Europeans have the first and second blood groups, while among representatives of the Mongolian race the third group prevails. Without thinking twice, he branded them “inferior”. Fortunately, his ideas did not take root, but in Japan the hypothesis found its own development.

In 1927, the scientific journal “Study of Psychology” published an article by Takeji Furukawa, a professor at the Tokyo Women’s Pedagogical Institute (now Ochanomizu University), titled “A study of temperament based on blood group” (Blood group theory of personality). Although his findings had little to do with science, in the 1970s journalist Masahiko Nomi became interested in the hypothesis, and thanks to it it quickly gained popularity. Pedantic Japanese began to determine a person’s abilities, propensity to certain diseases and even compatibility with a partner using a system called “ketsu-eki-gata”.

Hiring managers also became interested in the long-forgotten theory of personality types and began to recruit representatives of a group based on their natural aptitude for certain skills. Imagine the employer looking at your medical records, not your resume. For example, a boss needs a hardworking and responsible employee who will not help himself, so he will be more willing to hire someone with the third blood group rather than the first. And of course the military also began to dabble in this classification to create their own super soldiers.

The popular theory first moved to South Korea, where it was used by fans to classify idols, and from there to China.

Let’s start with the fact that the international ABO blood group system is written in Latin: the first group is O, the second group is A, the third is B, the fourth is AB. The Rh factor (Rh), which is taken into account during transfusions, pregnancy planning, and organ transplantation, is not affected by the theory of personality types. At the same time, only 15% of people in the world are Rh negative.

It is believed that the third blood group is dominant among Mongolians, but the first is also common. Residents of India have approximately the same ratio of the first and second blood groups (the second is slightly less), among Caucasians the second blood group predominates and the first is slightly less, among the inhabitants of the African continent and Arabs the first blood group is the most common, and among Jews the second. The incidence of the fourth blood group is equally low all over the world.

Group 1 (0): “hunters”

The first blood group is considered the oldest (it appeared about 40 thousand years ago), and its carriers can be found on all continents. By the way, A holders with Rh- are universal donors, meaning their blood is suitable for everyone. According to theory, owners are natural leaders and optimists. These are the people Asian headhunters consider for leadership positions (this is not a joke).

Such people are determined and ambitious, energetic and enterprising, and do not like to obey others. They are active, impatient, love sports and have an active lifestyle. They are social, often have organizational skills and know how to lead a crowd. However, sometimes their overexcitement and uncompromising attitude cause conflicts. Criticism is painful to endure.

Men are passionate and jealous and are attracted to inaccessibility. Women with the first blood group also have a fiery temperament. They are somewhat arrogant and prone to flattery, so it is easy to win their favor with compliments.

Group 2 (A): “farmers”

The second blood group appeared in connection with the first mass migrations of people (about 25 thousand years ago). The priority became the ability to get along with neighbors, cooperate and develop skills rather than conquering territories. Hence the peaceful disposition of representatives of the second blood group.

It is believed that “farmers” adapt easily and are generally more hardworking. They are hardworking and clean, but they are prone to workaholism, which can harm their health. Hence the susceptibility to stress. Most of the time they take everything seriously. They rarely strive for leadership positions, but they can be stubborn, principled and stubborn on matters important to them.

Men are reliable and romantic by nature: they love to court for a long time and beautifully. They value the experience, intelligence and frugality of their chosen one, so they choose older spouses. It is important for them not only to surround the lady with attention, but also to feel her attention. Monogamous.

Women with the second blood group are harmonious and romantic in character, but prone to anxiety. They are shy, so they do not open up immediately in relationships, but they remain stable. It is important for them to find someone who shares their interests.

Group 3 (B): “nomads”

Probably the third blood group appeared about 10 thousand years ago. It is no coincidence that its representatives are called nomads – they are restless, prone to adventure, independent and free. It is important for them to be in harmony with themselves and the world. They are creative people by nature and love everything new and interesting. They are ascetic because daily worries bore them.

They are individualists and opponents of vertical hierarchy. They do not like to obey and cannot tolerate being spoken to. They often pursue careers in creative fields.

Men are known for being heartthrobs, they always have a lot of fans and are reluctant to get married. But they look really nice.

Women with the third blood group are also in no hurry to get married, fearing that their husbands will limit their freedom. Their extravagant artistic natures need the attention of the public, not the family hearth. Moreover, if such a woman agrees to start a family, she will be a very caring wife and respectful mother.

Group 4 (EU): “mysterious people”

There are only 8% of people with blood type four; these are universal receptors; That is, any type of blood can be transfused into them. This is the rarest personality type. They are considered mysterious, have a natural charm, excellent intuition and extraordinary thinking.

There is an assumption that Jesus Christ had a fourth blood type with negative Rh. There is also a version that AB appeared as a result of mixing Mongols (B) with Indo-Europeans (A and O).

Representatives of the fourth blood group, seemingly soft and docile, suffer from creative mood swings and low self-esteem. They are often indecisive and avoid conflict.

Men are distinguished by emotionality and sexuality. They seek deep emotions, but rarely experience them themselves, mistaking them for attraction.

Women also have charm and bright appearance, but at the same time they are more selective in choosing partners. They are capricious and demanding, so it is not easy to please them.

According to the “Ketsu-eki-gata” system, the compatibility of blood group partners is determined as follows.

Girls/Boys HE A. B. EU
HE 40% 90% 80% 30%
A. 95% 70% 20% 65%
B. 75% 25% 65% 80%
EU 35% 50% 85% 90%

Blood group compatibility is also important from a biological perspective. For example, transfusion of the wrong blood can lead to death. And during pregnancy, women with a negative Rh factor are prescribed prophylactic administration of anti-Rhesus immunoglobulin to prevent Rh conflict and the development of hemolytic disease in the newborn.
