EXCLUSIVE: Paul Bennett traveled three hours from the Isle of Wight to see Liam Gallagher play Knebworth, only to realize he took the clothesline by accident …
One guy left people “in tears of laughter” after mistakenly grabbing another item around the house instead of a camping chair on his way to a concert, he only noticed when he got there.
Paul Bennett, 50, got up at dawn to drive three hours to Knebworth to see Liam Gallagher perform Saturday’s show from his two-night residence at the iconic venue.
Wanting to be prepared for when he and his daughter, Kaisha Bennett, finally arrived at the Hertfordshire resort, Paul grabbed what he thought was a camping chair from his RV at 5:30 am.
The father-daughter duo traveled from the Isle of Wight, first taking a ferry and then traveling to the historic park where the Manchester rock legend played for two nights over the bank holiday weekend.
However, it wasn’t until Paul and Kaisha arrived on the scene that he realized something was wrong.

Instead of packing up the camping chair he thought he’d taken, Paul actually brought his own clothesline.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The Liam Gallagher fan spoke exclusively to his hilarious confusion which has now gone viral on Facebook.
Paul explained: “We traveled from the Isle of Wight and took about 3 hours on the car ferry at 6am!
“I went to my RV at 5:30 am and grabbed a loose chair and what I thought was the other chair in a blue case to put in the other van I was taking.
“I didn’t realize it until I got to Knebworth. We had pitched our tent at the campsite and opened the box to sit and have a beer and realized it was a clothesline.

And it looks like the clothing line managed to get a good night’s sleep the night before their long drive home.
“The clothesline stayed in the shop overnight and would have been useful the next morning if the rain stopped, but sadly it didn’t,” Paul noted.
According to Kaisha, luckily the line is back full and headache free.
He joked: “The funny thing is we had to take it all the way, but it did it all in one piece!”
Though Paul found himself seatless at the concert, he and his daughter have laughed at it ever since.
He said: “It was a great response. We laughed at it all weekend and we still laugh at it now!
“But for me and my daughter Kaisha, it’s our weekend.
“We both had a great weekend. Liam Gallagher was fantastic and the icing on the cake would be a comment from the biblical, heavenly, majestic, approachable and humble Liam Gallagher.
Kaisha originally posted the snapshot of Paul pulling the clothesline out of his dainty blue bag on Facebook.

He shared: “Only my dad would take it all the way to Knebworth for Liam Gallagher thinking it’s a camp chair, it turns out it’s actually a clothesline.”
Not only did the father and daughter find it funny, but many people laughed at Paul’s misfortune.
One person commented, “OMG, this is really fun”.
Another user laughed: “Legend”.
As a third person said: “Knowing me, I would end up doing it instead of taking over the shop.”
Someone else shared: “I’m really crying about it.”
Meanwhile, a fifth user laughed: “I’m crying”.
Well it looks like the clothesline had a great weekend …
