At the beginning of the year, it became known that the continuation of the famous Bridget Jones series was returning after 20 years. Hugh Grant, who played Daniel Cleaver in the first two films, shared new details about his work in the fourth episode.
Grant admitted that he did not initially plan to participate in the sequel as he did not see “absolutely any” storyline for his character. However, the creators still decided to include him in the cast.
“O (Line – Note ed.) is over 60 now, and you can’t just force him to wander the King’s Road and keep looking at young girls,” Grant said. As a result, the actor developed a story for his character, resulting in “a pretty interesting, in-between story.”
Let’s remember that the first movie of the “Bridget Jones’s Diary” series, starring Renee Zellweger, was released in 2001. The second film, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, premiered in 2004, and the third film, Bridget Jones’s Baby, premiered in 2016.
We previously reported that filming of “Bridget Jones: Spy Kid” had been suspended in a forested area at the request of wildlife activists concerned about the plight of local bats.
