EXCLUSIVE: Florida law student Brenda Perez, 23, worked at Hooters for two years. She says that people judge her for her work and she mistakenly assumes that she is stupid.
A Hooters waitress shared the misconceptions people have about her due to her job.
Brenda Pérez, of Miami, Florida, worked for the American restaurant chain for two years after applying out of curiosity.
The 23-year-old loves the role and the friendships it brings. she just hates people who judge her for it.
Speaking exclusively to, she said: “I think the most common misconception is that Hooters girls are beachheads.
“For some reason people tend to think that working at Hooters and being smart are mutually exclusive, yet my peers are some of the brightest people I’ve ever met.
“Most of these girls go to school to improve their education and use Hooters to graduate debt-free.
“Hooters is a great place to work when you are young and find your place in the world.”
Brenda said she gets trolled online every time she posts about her work.
“I usually don’t make myself worthy by trolling for an answer because the basis of her jokes always revolves around questioning my self-esteem or my intelligence, two things I’m not even worried about at all,” she explained.
“It’s hard to take offense when you know all his comments are based solely on my Hooters uniform.”
Due to her law studies, Brenda can only work part-time, which is common at the plant.
The rest of his time he spends reviewing clinical cases, on the beach and in the gym.
Before Brenda started working at Hooters, she had heard rumors about the interview process.
She was determined to find out if they were real or not, especially if they made women walk against a wall. It is said that if your nose touches it before your boobs, they won’t hire you.
But to his relief, that wasn’t quite the case.
The waitress shared: “Fortunately it was a fairly standard interview process. In the end I loved it and decided to stay.

Like everyone else, Brenda sometimes talks about her job, but she doesn’t want to work anywhere else.
He says he took a liking to the restaurant and the people he works with.
Even though they don’t always agree at work, whenever something serious happens, she knows she can count on them.
Brenda also wants to help get rid of the idea that the work environment is exclusive, as she says it couldn’t be further from the truth.
“We’ve been there for each other during pregnancies, weddings and sadly funerals,” explained the waitress.
“This year alone we lost a fellow Hooter and wasted no time setting up a candy sale and raising over $ 2,000 (around £ 1,500) for his family in one day.
“We hosted a beautiful memorial at the restaurant where we invited her family and dozens of former and current Hooters girls and shared stories from our time with her.
“I can say with all my heart that I see these girls as more than just colleagues. In the end, I’m glad I was curious and turned to Hooters. “
