The year 2024 is already on our doorstep. It is now important for all of us not only to leave worries in the past, but also to properly plan our goals for the next twelve months. After all, 2024 is a leap year: our ancestors found this mystical. To avoid problems and tune in to success as energetically as possible, you need to follow a few simple but important rules.
Especially for The Fashion Vibes, astrologer and tarot reader Katarina Shorokhova explained why many people consider a leap year unlucky and warned that this should not be done in 2024 under any circumstances.

What really is a leap year?
There are many superstitions about leap years: some believe that no enterprise can be planned for such a year because everything will go wrong; Others are afraid of February 29, believing that this is a day of misfortune, or even believing that it is better not to go out. Let’s figure it out together.
Why do we need a leap year? Its appearance is due to astronomical reasons. The Earth completes a complete revolution around the Sun in 365 days, 5 hours and 49 minutes. Accordingly, there is a day every 4 years and this day is usually added to February.
The word “leap year” itself comes from the Latin word “bis sextus”, meaning “second sixth”. The reason for this is that the beginning of each month in the Roman calendar is called kalend. The last day of February was called “the sixth day before the March Kalends”. When Julius Caesar introduced a new calendar based on the calculations of Alexandrian astronomers, he ordered the addition of a “second sixth day before the March calendars” every four years. This is how the name came about.
However, as the centuries passed, the Julian calendar showed its flaws. It was believed that the Earth made a complete revolution around the Sun in 365.25 days, but this is not entirely true. This became clear centuries later, in the 16th century, when the Vernal Equinox began to occur about 10 days before March 21. Later Pope Gregory XIII carried out a calendar reform. He made it possible to increase the accuracy of the calendar by adding the rule that years whose numbers are divisible by 100 will not be considered leap years, while years whose numbers are divisible by 400 will remain leap years. To this day we live according to the Gregorian calendar.
It was a theory. So where did the belief that leap years are bad come from? There is no definitive answer. Most likely, this is due to people’s sense of wariness of everything that differs from the usual course of events.
What can’t you do in the leap year 2024?
Even in the old days, many prejudices and beliefs were associated with leap years. If you believe in prophecies, here is a list of things you should not do in 2024:
Change jobs;
Start your own business;
Buy a new apartment;
Getting a pet;
Trip;
Play a wedding;
Have children (although there is no consensus here).
In general, everything that concerns something new in life is prohibited. So how? In folk signs there is no clear indication of what can be done in a leap year. Therefore, first of all, trust your intuition. If you think a truly profitable project is in danger, take action! The same applies to other fields.
It is your choice to be superstitious or not. But you should always trust yourself and your feelings.
