Lenovo has showcased the ThinkBook Aeroblade concept laptop, a 14-inch device measuring just 10 millimetres thick and equipped with solid-state cooling technology.
Initial details about the ultra-thin notebook first emerged a month ago, but full specifications were confirmed at the presentation. The 14-inch model weighs 830 grams, which Lenovo noted is not an absolute world record but remains exceptionally light for a mobile computer. The company stated that every component in the machine was redesigned with mobility in mind.
A key feature of the design is its unconventional thermal system. Lenovo fitted the laptop with four AirJet solid-state cooling modules manufactured by Frore Systems. While solid-state coolers generally offer relatively low thermal efficiency compared to traditional fans, Lenovo selected them because they are virtually silent, extremely thin, and highly energy efficient.

Solid-state cooling technology removes heat by using tiny membranes vibrating at ultrasonic frequencies to generate high-pressure airflow, eliminating the need for motorized fans with spinning blades. Developed by California tech firm Frore Systems, AirJet chips allow hardware makers to build ultra-thin laptops without mechanical noise or heavy thermal hardware.
Chassis design and hardware specifications
Measuring 10 millimetres deep, the ThinkBook Aeroblade is thinner than almost any mobile PC currently on the market. The extreme slimness presented structural challenges for physical connectivity. To accommodate USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 4 transfer speeds, Lenovo had to construct a specialized bump on the laptop casing.

The concept machine features an OLED display, support for Wi-Fi 7 wireless networking, and an Intel Lunar Lake processor. Because the Aeroblade remains a non-production concept model, Lenovo indicated that if the device eventually enters mass production as a commercial product, it will likely use Intel Wildcat Lake processors instead.
