” Mine the food budget should be around €500. I count in this sum the shopping at the Carrefour Market closest to my home, but also meals away from home. I often eat at restaurants or have meals delivered.

I take advantage of it, because I don’t have rent to pay, but I want to reduce it and would like, in the coming months, to divide it by two or three. »

“I pay €66 a month for laser hair removal”

Anne estimates approx €215 every month her budget for so-called female expenses: those related to the aesthetic pressure that weighs on people perceived as women (make-up, hair removal or beauty products, for example), contraception or even menstruation.

“My makeup budget is low, around €100 per year. In terms of care-type beauty products, I’d say I’d rather spend €250 per year.

I am currently doing laser hair removal of my underarms and bikini area – an investment in my opinion – that I am paying for €66 per month until March. Then I’ll move on to the legs so this budget doesn’t go down.

I resort to orthodontics which costs me €900 per semester, of which €400 repaid by my super mortgage.

My hygiene protections cost me around €15 a month, which I can get reimbursed by the health insurance company. »

“I know I could save more”

Anne explains that she feels somewhere between spendthrift and thrifty:

“I know I could save more. At the same time, I’m never exposed and I’m careful. My mother had to take care of two children by herself, so while she didn’t talk to me often about money, I think it must have been difficult financially. I think it affected my relationship with money. »

Every month, she places €900 savings on several savings and passbook accounts.

“Every month, I put €600 on my savings book A for a future contribution, for the purchase of an apartment.

I put €100 on a Fortunéo account for holidays, e €200 on my Boursorama account for contingencies or gifts (Christmas, birthdays, etc.). In general, I have about €400 at the end of the month, which I leave in my account most of the time. »

With this money he hopes to be able to buy an apartment in Paris, or go to study and live abroad if given the opportunity.
