Gwendolyn Christie talked about how Wednesday made her feel beautiful for the first time on screen and given the freedom to create her own character.

In the series, Gwendolyn played Larissa Weems, the headmistress of Nevermore academy. The actress said she felt noticed for the first time in her career.
“For the first time, I felt beautiful on screen. I cannot express my deep gratitude to Tim and Colin and our hair and makeup team.”

In a recent interview, Gwendolyn told Entertainment Weekly that Tim Burton said, “You can do whatever you want with the character, feel free to do whatever you want.”
Gwendolyn also spoke about how she was inspired to create the classic idea of femininity, but with a twist that she herself says is the opposite.
