In Minsk, a woman was arrested after she posted two photos on Tinder of a protest against the country’s leader, dictator Alexander Lukashenko.
The unnamed woman, 29, a manager at a logistics company, was seen waving the white-red-white flag of Free Belarus.
Although the protest took place in 2020, it recently sparked a complaint that led to her arrest by the dreaded Belarusian security services, the KGB.
Under the laws of the land, she now faces four years in prison.
The woman – who looked very uncomfortable – was seen in a video apologizing for using the photos on her Tinder dating app profile.

Belarusian authorities have released a video in which the woman appears to have confessed to her crime under duress
She appeared to be speaking under duress, a well-known tactic used by the Belarusian authorities.
She was asked, “Why are you locked up?”
She replied, “Article 342: Participation in unofficial mass gatherings.”
‘What did you do?’
“I attended protests in 2020.”
“What did you do it for?”
‘That was interesting…’
‘And now? are you sorry [what you did]?
“Of course it was pointless and irrelevant.
“Of course I shouldn’t have done that.
“What can you say to people who leave [to protests]?’
“Well, don’t protest because that’s not the method to voice your opinion.”

The security services claimed that two of the woman’s friends, who were also present at the anti-Lukashenko protests, tried to flee Belarus after her arrest.
One fled to Turkey, the other was arrested at the Polish border while trying to cross into the EU.
The incident occurred just weeks after human rights defender Nasta Loika was reportedly arrested by Belarusian authorities and forced to release a video statement.
NGO the International Federation for Human Rights said Ms Loika was jailed for 15 days on charges of “petty racketeering” after receiving money from foreign sources to support her human rights work.
The activist was arrested last month on the same “arbitrary” charge and was attacked “solely because of her human rights activism,” Amnesty International claimed.
During her detention in September, Ms Loika was “denied access to her lawyer, warm clothes and basic necessities, as well as the medical care she needs”.
