Alexander Ozhelsky

Alexander Ozhelsky, son of Alfa-Bank founder Mikhail Fridman, posted a video message recorded in English on YouTube, asking Kiev to lift sanctions imposed on him.

He stated that he considers himself a Ukrainian (Friedman, born in Lvov – Ed.), never supported Russian military special operations in Ukraine and went to rallies in London to express his position on this issue. He left Russia after the start of special operations and currently lives in a rented apartment in Dubai.

“As you can see, ****** (damn – Approximate pressure) I don’t live in a mansion, because I live with what I have. I don’t understand why this is happening and why everything I’ve done so far is a bunch of ****** (damn. – Approx. ed.) is under threat because of the bureaucrat,” he said.

Özhelsky noted that he has relatives in Ukraine that he visits regularly and that he does not plan to return to Russia. He described as unfair the fact that the only reason for the sanctions against him was his “connection with someone else”. “I think this is as unfair and dishonest as possible, and I hope the world hears me.”

Ksenia Sobchak commented on the situation on the telegram channel. “I think that the sanctions imposed on Fridman’s son are already a kind of stupidity and exaggerated lawlessness. I know Sasha personally, all his life he has fundamentally rebuilt himself from his father, he did not take money from him for work, instead of buying a hookah, he opened it. “In Alpha-Bank it’s a cozy place. Now he has to buy it for his father just because he is his father. What nonsense?” – the journalist wrote.

Alexander Ozhelsky, along with his sisters, is in the ranking of the richest heirs of Russian billionaires according to Forbes. At the same time, Mikhail Fridman previously said that he did not plan to inherit children.
