Yandex CEO Elena Bunina resigns and has no plans to return to Russia
Yandex CEO Elena Bunina is leaving her post, the company’s press service told TASS.
Artem Savinovsky, who previously headed the company’s division that managed Yandex.Music, Kinopoisk, Yandex.Afisha and Yandex.Teleprogram services, has been appointed on a temporary basis.
Initially, Bunina was supposed to leave the post of CEO on March 15, but his replacement, Tigran Khudaverdyan, was forced to resign due to sanctions imposed on him by the European Union. After that, Yandex reported that Bunina will continue to serve as CEO until April 15.

In an address sent to colleagues on the company’s internal forum, the current Yandex CEO announced that he was flying to Israel on March 1 and was working from the company’s office in Tel Aviv last month. Bunina condemned the military special operation in Ukraine and said that she would not return to Russia.
