Stylist tip: How to wear cargo pants in summer?

Despite the strong return of cargo pants last year, the spring-summer 2022 season had a real boom. British Vogue’s headline read, “Those girls are obsessed with this train.” And this is confirmed by the debuts of Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski and of course Bella Hadid.

He couldn’t do it on the podium without pants with big pockets. Current models were presented by Isabel Marant, Tom Ford, Blumarine, Diesel, Balmain, Dion Lee and many more. Mass market and local brands immediately caught the hot trend and offered cargo models (but later).

How to wear this fashionable thing and with what to combine it? We asked this question to the stylist and founder of the vintage brand Rebelle Darina Vedmenskaya. Here are some tips we recommend you listen to from him.

cargo + long sleeve

Let’s start with my favorite combination of short, oversized long-sleeved cargo pants. The coolest long sleeve is the right fade (i.e. burnt gray) color. If you find similar, it’s a success, otherwise you can use another color. By the way, it is not necessary to cut off the long sleeve, it can be tucked under the bodice or tied with a knot at the back.

Cargos look great with crop tops with various prints and oversized jackets, such a look will look great with high-heeled shoes and sneakers in the form of pointed shoes or ankle boots. Do not forget to add jewelry and glasses to the image.

Cargo + T-shirt “alcohol”

The bow below is perfect for a walk. Style your favorite cargo in a short alcohol tee, grab a baguette bag, put on your favorite sneakers and hit the road. And don’t forget to use SPF creams and sunglasses.

You can also make an evening look by adding a bright accent to the cargo pants in the form of a metallic patent leather bodice or any other material and color. This look will be perfect with high heeled sandals or mules, thus elongating the legs. Add a baguette or lighten up the look by using one of the spacious pockets of your cargo pants.
