For his sixth feature film entitled Will-o’-the-wispthe Portuguese director Joao Pedro Rodrigues keep exploring a decidedly queer, bold and explosive cinema in the cinematic landscape.

Will-o’-the-wisp revealed in a trailer. She promises a show pop, whimsical and cheerfulwho skillfully transforms the gestures of the firefighters into homoerotic choreographyfrom heart massage to PLS.

On the program of Will-o’-the-wisp, Alfredo is an uncrowned king on his deathbed. He is taken far away childhood memories and remembers when he dreamed of becoming a firefighter. The meeting with the instructor Afonso, of the fire brigadeopens a new chapter in the life of the two young people, immersed in love and the desire and willingness to change the status quo.

The Inrocks speak about Will-o’-the-wisp like from a movie “Bold”, “unforgettable”. The magazine quotes “an unclassifiable musical at the crossroads of genres, between socio-political satire and a fairy tale about desire”.
