The S&P 500, which fell more than 3% in late morning trading, fell bearish in the market zone on Monday – triggered by a drop of more than 20% at the last level – with some optimistic news on the horizon. and not so much. Right. Three main fronts: rising inflation, rising interest rates and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The Nasdaq, with its highest concentration of tech stocks, has been in a bear market for months.

The DJIA is now down 700 points, at least at its lowest point, while the Nasdaq and Russell 3000 are also in the red in response to heavy losses on Friday after inflation hit a 40-year low. It is one of the toughest segments of the market and the worst opening of the week in recent years as inflation affects consumers and businesses, in part due to the war, which has caused delays in global energy markets and grain supplies.
