A group of researchers from Japan introduced an innovative artificial blood that can be used potentially for any patient, independent of the group.

The essence of development is to extract hemoglobin, a basic protein responsible for the transport of oxygen to the red blood cells donated with the expiry date of bleeding. After placing it in a protective shell, it creates stable, virus -free artificial red blood cells. Tokyo Week, one of the main advantages of this approach is that compatibility tests are not required.
Synthetic blood is also durable: it can be stored up to two years at room temperature and up to five in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, ordinary donor red blood cells are stored in the refrigerator for only 42 days.
Keep in mind that a new product tests led by Hiromi Sakai of Nara Medical University began in 2022. As part of the research, there were three groups of healthy men aged 20 to 50 years. A single intravenous hemoglobin – artificial oxygen carriers in the injection of the structure of red blood cells were injected. The amount of substance entered gradually increased and reached 100 ml.
Previously, scientists from Australia were able to build an artificial heart for people. The patient, who had a similar development, had 100 days for the first time.
