After Justin Baldoni filed a lawsuit against The New York Times, which published Blake Lively’s 80-page statement against his colleague, the actor decided to take action.

As it turns out, the Gossip Girl star had not previously filed a formal lawsuit against her colleague. He did so only after Baldoni’s lawyers told him so. The Hollywood Reporter reported that Blake filed the lawsuit in New York federal court, accusing him of “sexual harassment and orchestrating a campaign to discredit him.”
The actress’ attorneys issued the following statement: “As alleged in Ms. Lively’s federal complaint, Wayfarer Studios (the agency that formerly employed Justin Baldoni) Note ed.) and his associates violated federal and California laws by retaliating against him for reporting sexual harassment and workplace safety issues. The defendants will now face punishment for their conduct in federal court. Ms. Lively brought these proceedings in New York, where many of the relevant activities alleged in the complaint occurred; however, we reserve the right to pursue other lawsuits in other locations and jurisdictions in accordance with the law.”
Let us remember that the “tension” that arose on the set between the actor and the director, and which the tabloids wrote about many times, was taken to a new dimension by Blake at the end of December. After the news of the lawsuit, in which the star accused a colleague of harassment, information poured in one after another: Ryan Reynolds blocked the actor on social networks a few months before the lawsuit, the actor left the agency after the Gossip Girl star’s accusations, and others. Note that many Hollywood stars have already sided with Lively.
