Preclinical studies of oncovacin, developed by experts at the Gamaleya Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center, show that after using the drug, the tumor improves and metastases disappear. The director of the center, Alexander Ginzburg, told RIA Novosti about this.

“We see that the tumor – the melanoma – simply dissolves, disappears, and not only the tumor itself, but even the metastasis disappears. “I do not rule out that we will have patients in the fourth stage,” he said.
According to the director, the cancer vaccine will be personalized, that is, it will be administered individually for each patient. Artificial intelligence will help develop it – it will analyze the parameters of the tumor and produce a drawing of the future drug. Accordingly, experts will prepare the vaccine within a week.
A fungus featured in the post-apocalyptic TV series The Last of Us could lead to a revolutionary cancer treatment, other scientists say. In the project, the Cordyceps fungus takes over people and turns them into zombies. Read more about the study here.
