The artist thanked his ex-wife for the time they spent together. “I understand very well how difficult it is to have an artist husband when he is not around very often and for long periods of time. Of course, this is a very painful issue. The wound is still fresh and I understand that in our case this can last for many years. It’s been a year and it’s still hard,” he said on a new episode of the Nothing Sacred podcast.
He said he didn’t regret his decision. “I don’t know what your fate will be and what your new love will be like. “I had to go through this path to truly understand who I am personally and what I want,” the artist added.
Rodriguez, 45, admitted that he doesn’t fully understand the hatred directed at him and his current fiancée, Katya Kabak. “For some reason, people decided that I was undervaluing the years I lived. For saying things I shouldn’t have said. But I said what was important to me. “Like everyone else, I have the right not only to be happy, but also to say what is interesting and necessary for me,” the musician shared.
The singer said that she decided to leave her husband before meeting the actor. “Hate came to Katya indirectly because people did not understand this. When I talked about the new relationship I started after the breakup, he was with someone else. So in June I told my wife, and in July I entered a new relationship that was unpleasant for her. Then he thought it was just my emotional outburst, but then he realized everything was serious. That’s why Katya has nothing to do with it. People didn’t understand that he was the reason for my breakup and started writing. But this is not true,” he explained.
