The work of Viktor Tsoi, the leader of the Kino group, was sold at auction for € 76,900 (8,059,843 rubles). Note ed.). This amount is a record for a musician’s artwork, the auction’s press service reported.

Initially, the “square-headed man” made by Tsoi with felt-tip pens cost € 15,000 (RUB 1,574,848 – Note ed.), but the total amount increased more than fivefold.
The auction also included other works of art. For example, a 1988 photograph of the Kino group by Viktor Lavreshkin sold for €3,106 (RUB 326,098). Note ed.) and a collage of photos of the band, hand-pasted by the band’s drummer Georgy Guryanov. The final cost of the work was €1,750 (RUB 183,732). – Approximately. ed.)
Viktor Tsoi became interested in drawing from early childhood. He entered the Serov Art School but was expelled due to poor academic performance. After that, the artist went to art restoration school, specializing in wood carving. Tsoi performed his work on pieces of paper and cardboard, sometimes on polyethylene.
