Las Vegas radio stations removed Green Day songs from their playlists. This was all due to the pioneer’s incontinence.
Billie Joe Armstrong said bad things about Las Vegas during the Green Day show at Oracle Park in San Francisco, PEOPLE reports. “I hate Las Vegas. “This is the worst hole in America,” the singer said.
Las Vegas residents did not appreciate Armstrong’s disparaging remarks about their city. Radio station KOMP 92.3 announced plans to remove all Green Day music on social media: “KOMP 92.3 has removed all Green Day songs from rotation. “It’s not us, Billy… You did it,” the statement said.
Another station, X 107.5, shared a more detailed explanation about the ban on its website. Presenter Carlota also made an announcement on air. “Sin City heard Armstrong loud and clear. In response to his incendiary comments, the station immediately bans all Green Day music. Armstrong crossed the line with the Las Vegas locals. We’re leaving Green Day completely. Goodbye, Billy!” said the presenter.
Green Day’s lead singer did not make any comment about the incident. But Entertainment Weekly writes that Vegas had already “cancelled” Armstrong in 2004. Maybe this time too, the conflict will lose its validity over time.
