Good news for fans of superheroes and Nicolas Cage. According to Deadline, the Oscar-winning actor will play the leading role in the Spider-Man Noir series.

Cage voiced the character in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He was remembered by his fans for his dark and profound monologues such as “Sometimes I let the match burn my fingers so I can at least feel something.”
Created by writers David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and artist Carmine di Giandomenico, Spider-Man Noir first appeared in the comic book series of the same name in 2009. In 1933, during the Great Depression, young reporter Peter Parker is bitten by an illegally imported poisonous spider while secretly investigating the smuggling of a ring of ancient spider statues.
Noir is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. “We are excited to have Nicolas Cage starring in this series! “No one else brings such poignancy, pain and heart to this unique character,” said Sony Pictures Television Studios President Catherine Pope.
Remember, the Spider-Man Noir series, adapted from Marvel’s comic book series of the same name, was announced in February 2023.
