Netflix: the most anticipated films of April 2024
The Godfather – April 15, 2024
In April, Netflix goes into movie mode. The platform unveils one of the greatest classics of cinema, with the masterpiece of 1972 signed Francis Ford Coppola.
In 1945, in New York, the Corleones are one of five mafia families. Don Vito Corleone, “godfather” of this family, marries his daughter to a bookmaker. Sollozzo, “godfather” of the Tattaglia family, offers Don Vito an association with drug trafficking, but he refuses. Sonny, one of his sons, is in favor.
To confront Sonny, Sollozzo tries to have Don Vito killed, but he escapes. Michael, Sonny’s younger brother, then seeks out the sponsors of the attack and kills Sollozzo and the police chief in retaliation.
Michele then leaves for Sicily, where he marries Apollonia, but she is killed in his place. Back in New York, Michael marries Kay Adams and prepares to become his father’s successor…
Lady Bird – April 16, 2024
Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson desperately struggles not to be like her loving but stubborn, strong-willed mother, who works tirelessly as a nurse to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird’s father loses his job. A film by Greta Gerwig (Barbie) with Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet.
Pentagon Documents – April 16, 2024

Ripley – April 4, 2024
After turning heads in Without Ever Knowing Us, the love story released in theaters on February 14, Andrew Scott returns to a series of which he is the hero. New adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s five novels The talented Mr. Riplay, this miniseries follows Tom Ripley, a New York delinquent who runs amok in the early 1960s and is hired by a rich man who sends him to Italy to try to convince his bohemian son to return to the House. Accepting this mission, Tom sticks his finger in a complex gear which will lead him to lies, fraud and murder.
Fiasco – April 30, 2024
Nostalgic for the times Fivewith Pierre Niney and François Civil, mark the date of April 30th on your calendar.
Raphaël Valande begins filming his first feature film: an adventure that ranges from prehistory to the landing, including the Vikings… to pay homage to the heroic life of his resilient grandmother.
