We told you that very soon, from November 28 to December 2, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit, a large-scale fashion event, will be held in Moscow. Experts from Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and the CIS will gather in the capital and discuss the problems of the fashion industry, common market prospects and interaction options between countries. Additionally, the World Fashion Shorts short film festival will be held within the scope of the Summit.
On November 30, a one-day multimedia installation combining fashion, cinema and video art will take place in the multimedia hall of the Artplay design center. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch colorful short films that have won awards at international fashion film festivals. The World Fashion Shorts selection will include films from South Africa and North America, Europe, Central and Southeast Asia.
Together they create a picture of a wide variety of cultures and broaden the understanding of the fashion industry. They show people who see fashion as another way to understand themselves and others, express emotions, and establish a sensory connection.
The videos will be shown on various screens all around the hall. This will allow the public to choose any viewing strategy, from focusing on the film to freely searching for unexpected visual beats or contrasts.
Entrance to the site is free for everyone between 15:00 – 18:00. Then, at 18.15, the public talk on “Fashion as a way of knowing and a means of revealing individuality and diversity” begins, with the participation of summit experts from different countries.
