2023 is here, it’s time to grow old. We thank TikTok and his video for this generational clash that shows us once again that the days pass like machines (thank you Neg ‘Marrons for this referee who never dies).
Imitates a telephone, this simple action that makes you look years in the face
On the TikTok network, user @yadirycz asks his daughter, born in 2017, to mime what she does when she answers the phone. She mimes holding a rectangular object in her hand, resembling a smartphone. However, when you ask the adult present to do the same thing, you use the good old technique of the little finger and the extended thumb glued to the ear, a gesture that (almost) all of us do.
But the clash between generations does not stop here: when @yadirycz asks her daughter to mime the gesture of taking a photo, the latter takes a selfie, when the adult, born in 1997, holds a camera in front of her eyes and mimes the “click” by pressing the imaginary button on what you might think is an old disposable Kodak.
@yadiraycz Everyone must try it, it’s too cute 😂😂

Manage my choices
I personally did the test this morning on my 6 year old daughter, and yes, she imitates the action with a smartphone, and she absolutely doesn’t understand why I use my fingers to imitate a phone, she finds it ridiculous. Clearly, in your eyes we are not far from EHPAD, thank you very much.
So, which team are you on? Are you imitating a smartphone or a Nokia 3310? Or even a rotary phone?
