Camaïeu, Cop.Copine, San Marina, Kookaï, Go Sport, Gap and now Jennyfer… Why does mid-range fashion seem to be collapsing in France today? In addition to the historic fast fashion players Zara, H&M and Asos, there are clearly ultra-fast fashion giants such as Boohoo (PrettyLittleThing), Primark and above all SHEIN. As the fashion industry polarizes between low-cost brands that are steamrollers on social and environmental rights on the one hand and luxury houses on the other, what can young designers (who rely on the Haute Couture and Fashion Federation) commit to? What role can the French women’s ready-to-wear federation play? Can we really regulate fashion without curbing its creativity? We ask ourselves these questions during the next JT Mode, on July 19, 2023, from 19:00 to 21:00, on Madmoizelle’s Twitch channel, where we receive the president of the French Federation of Women’s Ready-to-wear Yann Rivoallan and the committed fashionista designer Giovanna Friot.

Who is Yann Rivoallan, president of the French Federation of women’s prêt-à-porter?
ESCP graduate and established entrepreneur, Yann Rivoallan, 49, has been working in fashion and digital for 20 years. Passionate about photography, he began his career as an entrepreneur by founding a photographic agency while studying. This experience made him discover the world of fashion, from which he never left. A geek since his parents gave him an IBM 5155 PC in 1983, he co-created The Oz agency in 2008 (50 million revenue, 70 employees). The Oz therefore offers an unprecedented e-commerce delegation offer to support brands in their omnichannel and digitization challenges. In 2022, looking for new challenges, and to respond to digital changes, he launched the company Everywhere Anytime, a training school dedicated to Digital Transformation. Since June 2022, Yann Rivoallan has established himself as president of the French Federation of Women’s Ready-to-Wear for a three-year term.
