How long have you been single?
I have been single since the end of September 2022.
When I was in college, I wasn’t very popular. I have seen or heard my girlfriends talking about their crush/boyfriends e I experienced very badly the fact of not having any boyfriend.
Then comes 4And, I meet a boy and we fall madly in love. We were together for 9 months then she left me. I felt like the whole universe was collapsing on my head.
After that, for over 3 years, I was terrified of never finding anyone who wanted me again. I chained the rakes. In 1timeat 16 i even registered on Fruitz because the loneliness I was experiencing was making me sick. I started dating guys from high school or from the app. I was even worse because every time it went terribly, the flirting often lasted more than a month so I got attached to it, but the end was always the same: the boy didn’t want anything serious, so everything stopped before anything could even start.
Then I met a guy on happn, with whom I stayed for two years and lived together for a year. I think at the beginning we weren’t in love, we wanted to fill the loneliness and lack of love that we both felt. It was enough at first, but as soon as we started living together, it has become a nightmare.
First of all, we’ve never wanted to do anything without each other. So we would hang out with each other’s friends, then quickly, when one of us was too lazy to go out, the other wouldn’t go out. Then we quickly stopped seeing our respective friends. I think sort of unconscious resentment established between us.
The distribution of tasks was also very complicated. He didn’t know how to use the washing machine or the dishwasher (not for lack of having explained it to him several times), the broom and the mop, it always was “I’ll Do It Later” but the later never came, or it was sloppy and I had to go back… In short, I had become a real waitress.
Finally, in our last months of relationship, we started dating again, without telling each other to avoid crises, but suddenly not knowing how long or with whom, there was no more trust between us. Anyway, we decided to separate and I kept the apartment. Since then I live again! I discover freedom, I eat when I want, I take home whoever I want, when I want, I flip from right to left and my mental load is almost zeroI enjoy my own company and live my best life!
How would you describe your singleness?
I currently live alone in an apartment with my cat. i’m starting to do that discover independent and free adult life. In fact, I lived with my mom before settling down with my ex for a year. So I had never experienced this total independence: I go out when I want, when I want, without having to hold anyone informed or accountable. I no longer have the mental burden of two people (cleaning, meals, in-laws, rent, etc.), I just have to worry about my wants and needs. However, I often feel alonedevoid of tenderness, affection, someone to take care of me or to whom I could sometimes delegate responsibilities, etc.

Does being single affect your friendship or family life?
I see my friends more and now I have much more time to reach out and listen to my loved ones.
Do you think being single has a daily impact on your morale?
Yes I am much less stressed, much more fulfilledi feel too much sexier because I can always flirt a littleand best of all, i no longer feel guilty when people flirt with me.
After that, there really are days when I feel a little depressed: I have nothing left to watch on Netflix, my friends aren’t available, I’m bored and I wish I had a warm hug to comfort me, but it’s awfully occasionally that I live a lot. better my celibacy now.
Do you think being single allows you things you couldn’t do as a couple?
I’ve had a lot of difficulty finding time for myself: solitary pleasures, beauty treatments, solitary walks, going out with friends, managing 100% of my time the way I want… It’s also a BIG budget saver!
Are you actively trying to find a romantic relationship?
No, not a romantic relationship. However, I have several dates : sometimes it is limited to a drink in a bar, other times it ends up at my house and there is also someone with whom the experience is repeated several times.
How would you describe your relationship with meetings?
I adore, I find it super hot when I warm up for the date, seduction phase, etc.. I’m super busy so I don’t have much time to reply on apps, but I still manage to have one or even two appointments a week.
Does being single in love impact your sex life?
YES, I feel a desire for carnal contact. But precisely, I discover the fact of living alone and of to be able to bring the men home!
Do you think being single has an impact on your finances?
Yes, because I no longer do the shopping for myself, there’s also much less food waste. There’s also a smaller gift budget.
