According to the latest TagWalk analysis, leather has become the staple of the season – 62% of designers included leather in their collections during the last Fashion Weeks. Metallic took the honorable second place with 49%: it’s no wonder that world-class stars from Heidi Klum to Natalia Haussmann are now wearing shiny fabrics.
Finally, fine knitwear took the third place, clearly indicated by 41% of fashion designers. Another variant of the trend towards explicit sexuality in meat. And fortunately or unfortunately, there was no place for denim in the statistics. This leads to only one conclusion – the overall epic of total jeans has failed for once.
Another result – Kim Kardashian was the loser. A day ago, the model shared a photo of a new outfit in a total jeans image and likeness. A jacket with an accent fur collar and cuffs rhymes with high-waisted jeans and pointed-heel ankle boots. Although the combination looks very neat, the overall picture of the outfit can no longer be called relevant. That’s why we boldly replace jeans with leather pants and denim jackets with trendy leather jackets. Fortunately, good examples of item styling already exist.
