On Entry Trailer: Immigration and Interrogation Thriller debuts at SXSW

The psychological thriller follows a couple who arrive from Barcelona, ​​​​​​​​​​and are stuck at immigration control at Newark-Liberty Airport in New Jersey. As they are interrogated intensely, their dreams of moving to the United States – and their relationship – begin to unravel.

Here’s the official synopsis: Diego (Alberto Amman), a Venezuelan urban planner, and Elena (Bruna Cusi), a contemporary dancer from Barcelona, ​​move to the United States with their approved visas to start a new life . Her intention is to boost her professional career and raise a family in the “land of opportunity”. But when they enter the immigration area of ​​Newark Airport, they are taken to the second control room, where border officials put them through an uncomfortable inspection process and a mentally grueling interrogation. Over the next few hours, the fates of Elena, Diego and their dreams are questioned as the officers interrogating them try to determine if the couple has something to hide that threatens their entry.

Upon arrival won the FIPRESCI Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and is making its North American premiere in the Narrative Spotlight section at SXSW, which runs March 10-19. Charades takes care of international sales; Anonymous content has North America.
