EXCLUSIVE: generation Star Nava Mau will star in the upcoming Netflix drama series baby reindeer
The streaming series is based on writer-creator Richard Gadd’s real-life experience of a twisted relationship that affected him deeply and ultimately forced him to confront a darkly buried trauma.
Mau plays Teri, Donny’s (Gadds) partner who becomes involved in his relationship with his stalker Martha, who we revealed was played by Jessica Gunning at the time.
Mau was a key member of the Lena Dunham-produced ensemble generation (styled generation + ie), which is now on Tubi after Warner Bros. Discovery got it from streamer HBO Max as it tried to cut costs and sell many of the shows created for the platform.
She also appeared in it wake up dead And Work.
hurry up baby reindeer started in August and is now packed. Weronika Tofilska and Jospehine Bournebusch are the directors. Executive producers are Gadd, Petra Fried, Ed Macdonald and Matt Jarvis and Clerkenwell Films, part of BBC Studios (The end of the damn world) produced.
The series debuted as a one-man play at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and was commissioned in December 2020 as one of seven original UK scripts. The play won an Olivier Award for Outstanding Performance at a Partner Theatre.
