A mystery shrouded in darkness: Pele’s will names a secret daughter he hasn’t known throughout his life.

Throughout Sandra Regina’s life, Pele denied being her daughter, but now it turns out it was her that she left a share of her millions in her will.

Born in 1964, Sandra died 17 years ago heartbroken because her father refused to recognize her. But the names of all seven of his children, including hers, were included in the will. Now Sandra’s share will go to her two sons, who met their grandfather in the hospital the day before his death, as it was the last wish of the football player.

One of them said, “I thank God for giving me this moment, it was what my mother dreamed of the most. I talked to my aunts, they said our grandfather wanted to see us.” Pele’s second grandchild also shared her feelings: “We were very excited and have been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time. Fights happen in every family, ours is no different, but there are times when unity and love are more important than anything else. We are extremely happy.”

Their mother was born after Pele’s affair with his housekeeper, Anicio Machado. The footballer refused to acknowledge that he was the girl’s father, but DNA tests and a 1991 court order proved that to be the case.
