Since the summer of 2020, Megan Thee Stallion has been subjected to the worst gossip, slander and curses against her, since she publicly stated that Tory Lanez shot her, screaming: ” Dance, bitch! “. The Canadian R’n’B singer pleaded not guilty during the trial held in late 2022. The court just found him guilty on December 23rd. His sentence will be pronounced on January 27, 2023: he risks up to 20 years in prison.

This story was widely publicized, but also sung and rapped, especially from the singer’s support side. Artists like Drake have participated in the vilification of Megan Thee Stallion, with large reinforcements of racist and misogynistic overtones. Megan Thee Stallion, poised between racism and misogyny

The violence suffered by black women in the hip-hop world would be trivialized there, perceived by the rest of society as inherent in this industry, and therefore inevitable, not to mention deserved. Black women would be even more afraid to report them for fear of fueling racism.
