Las Vegas police say a woman who accused Jared Leto of sexually assaulting her in a motel bathroom when she was 17 never filed a report with local authorities.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told the Daily Mail that "there have been no sexual assault reports filed against this individual in LVMPD's jurisdiction."
The allegation is one of four criminal sexual misconduct claims made against the 54-year-old Oscar winner in a BBC documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, released Wednesday.
In total, 10 women came forward in the documentary to speak about their alleged interactions with Leto, many of which allegedly occurred when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s and 40s. Nine of the women were sharing their stories publicly for the first time.
The woman who described the Las Vegas incident, whose identity was not revealed, claimed she met Leto in 2002 at a Las Vegas store when she was 17. She alleged that Leto, who would have been 30 or 31 at the time, assaulted her inside a bathroom at an unnamed motel.
The other criminal misconduct allegations came from women who were between 16 and 19 at the time of the alleged incidents. One woman claimed Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19 after she was unexpectedly left alone with him in a hotel room. A third accuser alleged she had underage sex with Leto in California when she was 17, which would be classified as statutory rape. She alleged Leto shrugged off a conversation about the age of consent being 18 in that state.
A fourth woman said she was groomed by Leto, alleging he made repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her when she was 16 and on at least one occasion suggested they should have sex. According to the BBC, which claims to have seen the document, the woman was sent a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from speaking about her alleged relationship with Leto. She refused to sign it.
Four additional women alleged they received sexual phone calls from Leto when they were teenagers. Another woman claimed that when she was 14, Leto instructed a security guard to bring her backstage at a music festival after allegedly making a lewd comment about her at an autograph signing. The girl's mother confronted Leto, but he allegedly repeated the comment.
The allegations span from 2002 to 2016. Leto denied all of them in a statement to the BBC. "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false," he said. One unnamed accuser told the outlet: "This was 25 years ago... he has gotten away with it."
