Mounir Nasraoui, the father of FC Barcelona footballer Lamine Yamal, has published family photographs on social media to dismiss rumours of an estrangement from his son.
In a carousel of images and video posted to his accounts, Nasraoui appeared alongside the Spanish forward and Yamal's girlfriend, the social media influencer Inés García, inside the couple's residence.
The post comes after prolonged speculation that relations within the footballer's family had cooled following Nasraoui's absence from the World Cup in the United States.

Family photos at Lamine Yamal's home
In the main photograph, Nasraoui and García are seen hugging and laughing in the kitchen of Yamal's home. Accompanying the informal picture, Nasraoui joked in a written message to his son's partner that he was lending his son to her.
The kitchen belongs to the residence that Yamal purchased for 11 million euros in 2025, where he has lived with García for several months. The property previously belonged to Colombian singer Shakira and former FC Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué during their time together in Spain.
In the same social media carousel, Nasraoui included a photograph with his son alongside two Golden Retriever puppies that Yamal and García recently bought. To reinforce that their bond remains unchanged, Nasraoui wrote in the caption that there is only one father and son.
Yamal responded immediately to his father's publication with a heart icon. Nasraoui also shared a video clip in the post showing himself carefully brushing one of the family's dogs.

Mounir Nasraoui's World Cup absence
Questions about a family rift grew during the World Cup in the United States, when Nasraoui did not travel to support the young forward. Yamal's mother, Sheila Ebana, and his younger brother, Keyne, both attended the tournament to celebrate the victory with the player.
Nasraoui has clarified that his absence from the tournament was solely due to health issues. He suffers from epilepsy, a neurological condition that prevented him from flying to the United States for the family celebrations.
Before the social media post, reports had suggested that the relationship between father and son was going through one of its most difficult periods. Speculation had also claimed that FC Barcelona had advised the player to ask his father to keep a lower public profile.
Lamine Yamal's career and family life
Yamal rose through FC Barcelona's La Masia youth academy to become one of the most prominent young players in world football, making his senior debut for the Catalan club in 2023 at the age of 15 and helping the Spain national team win international silverware.
Throughout his rapid rise from youth football to the senior ranks at FC Barcelona and the Spanish national side, his parents Mounir Nasraoui and Sheila Ebana have remained closely associated with his public profile. According to the scenes shared from the player's home, Nasraoui remains a regular presence in the daily life of his son and García.
