Greek actor Lakis Lazopoulos has spoken about dedicating his personal book to the memory of his late wife, Tasoula, during an interview on SKAI television in Greece.
Speaking alongside hosts Nancy Zampetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos on the program Studio at 3, Lazopoulos explained his decision to document his personal journey and honor his wife on paper.
Lazopoulos said that the book was not written for himself, but for Tasoula. He stated that when a partner stands beside you for many years and passes away quietly without seeking public attention, they deserve a dedicated place in history.
He noted that he had always managed his family life silently and away from public view. He explained that he felt people did not know certain aspects of his life, and knew even less about his wife, who would never have had the chance to share her story herself.
Emotional struggle during writing process
Lazopoulos described the emotional weight of creating the book, explaining that he wanted to ensure his wife retained a visible presence within his story. He said that even when someone is no longer seen, it does not mean they cease to exist.
He noted that people who are visible today can become invisible, while those who become invisible to the public can remain essential and visible to an individual as they process life events.
Recalling memories while writing created significant obstacles and delays. Lazopoulos revealed that writing a single scene would sometimes leave him weeping for an hour, leaving him unable and unwilling to write for fifteen days afterward.

Lazopoulos added that while time may eventually throw a person down, it keeps moving forward, and as long as a person lives, they are required to follow time.
