Lady Gaga has secretly welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, according to a report from Page Six, after the singer mysteriously dropped out of the public eye.

The couple are reportedly new parents, though few details have been revealed, including the child's name, sex or date of birth. Shortly after the report emerged, Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, were spotted out in public with a newborn baby in photos obtained by the outlet.

Gaga had last been seen in August during a fan encounter in Northern California that was documented in an Instagram selfie, and she had otherwise kept a low profile since wrapping her latest tour, The Mayhem Ball, in April. The Daily Mail said it had contacted Gaga's representatives for comment but had not received a response.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and Polansky have been engaged since April 2024 and have been a couple since 2019.

New photos show a family stroll
In the new photos, Gaga held what looked like a newborn infant against her chest in a sling while walking in Northern California with her fiancé and another woman. The couple had reportedly been lying low in Marin County at her new $10 million mansion.

Gaga wore a loose-fitting gray cardigan, baggy pajama pants and a cropped top, along with large sunglasses and black loafers. Polansky wore shorts, a hoodie and a baseball cap. Gaga was seen wearing her large diamond engagement ring while out with the baby.
Elopement rumors swirled beforehand
Her extended absence had previously fueled speculation that she and Polansky had eloped. One source told the Daily Mail that even her friends had been left out of the loop.

"No one has seen her or heard from her in over a month," the insider said. "Everyone in her circle thinks she eloped with Michael and is on her honeymoon now, trying to make a baby."
Gaga had been trailed by pregnancy speculation since mid-2024, just months after she and Polansky got engaged. Her last confirmed public appearance had been on April 20 at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York.

Earlier pregnancy rumors
Fans had previously speculated she was pregnant after video circulated of her performing at her sister Natali Germanotta's wedding in Maine. "Lady Gaga randomly being pregnant and married," one fan wrote at the time, as others rushed to offer congratulations.
Gaga swiftly shut down that speculation with a TikTok video captioned: "Not pregnant, just down bad cryin at the gym."

Gaga has spoken openly about wanting to be a mother
During an October 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Gaga said motherhood would be her "next starring role." Asked whether she wanted to keep acting or performing on Broadway, she replied: "I would like to do many things, yeah, all of these things. But, what I really want is to be a mom. That's my next starring role, I hope."

Speaking to The New York Times in March 2025, Gaga said she was "excited to be a mom," even though she "used to have a lot of apprehension about it." She added: "I'm also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon. Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There's an incredible amount of narcissism in this."
A source previously told the Daily Mail that Gaga wants a large family, despite having only one sibling herself.
"She has only one sister, Natali, and always wanted more siblings. So she wants her children to have many siblings so they can all lean on each other," the source said.
No confirmed wedding date yet
There is no word on when Gaga and Polansky plan to marry, though in March she indicated a wedding was coming "soon." During an appearance on Bruno Mars's Romantic Radio TikTok Live, Gaga sent a recorded message saying: "Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year, but we're getting married soon. We were hoping you could choose a special song for us."
In her Colbert interview, Gaga also praised Polansky, calling him "my best friend in the whole world" and saying he "empowered me as a woman in music with a beautiful partner that has my back every day." She said: "He just blew me away from the minute that I met him. He always, I think, really saw me and I think I always really saw him."
In October 2024, Gaga told Jimmy Kimmel that she and Polansky had considered eloping by "just going to a courthouse, just the two of us, and ordering Chinese food."
How the couple met
Gaga and Polansky met in 2019 at tech entrepreneur Sean Parker's 40th birthday party in Los Angeles. They were first seen out together that New Year's Eve at the Park MGM in Las Vegas, before being photographed kissing on a hotel balcony in February 2020. They then attended the Super Bowl in Miami and confirmed their relationship on social media with a photo of them cuddled up on a boat.
By 2024 the couple were engaged, making their red carpet debut that fall at the Venice Film Festival, where Gaga showed off her large diamond ring. Polansky had proposed five months earlier, on April Fools' Day, while the pair were out rock climbing.
"We were just walking back to the room and talking. He actually - it was very Michael - asked me if he could ask me. He wanted to know if it was OK to propose before he proposed. And I was like, 'Yes, it's so OK!'" Gaga recalled. "He had the ring in his backpack, so it was so super cute. But you know what? I'm a modern lady. I like what he did."
Building a quieter life in Marin County
The couple have reportedly started building a quieter life in the affluent town of Ross in Marin County, close to the home of California Governor Gavin Newsom.
"There are tons of Lady Gaga sightings all over Marin, and everyone loves her; she has become a local," one resident told the Daily Mail.
