Kmart Australia has launched a new budget wellness collection across its stores, featuring sleep aids, workout gear and a $29 smart ring.
The release comes as rising living costs prevent many shoppers from keeping up with monthly wellness expenses or paying for gym memberships. The retailer is offering products designed to support sleep, fitness, recovery, self-care and mindfulness without breaking the bank.

Daily Mail got a sneak peek of the new collection in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria. Among the top picks highlighted in the range are the LED Light Therapy Mask ($49), Sunrise Alarm Clock ($39), Cooling Memory Foam Pillow ($35) and Pilates Ring ($12).
One of the hottest items getting shoppers talking is the $29 Smart Ring, which customers claim is an affordable alternative to the popular $799 Oura Ring. Oura Ring is a high-end smart wearable known for tracking health metrics and sleep quality, while Apple Watch remains one of the market standards for fitness tracking.

Available in three sizes, Kmart's budget-friendly smart ring can monitor health and track sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen levels and activity statistics, including step count, distance, duration and calories burned.
Kmart shopper Desiree said she was "pretty impressed" with the Smart Ring after finding its results stack up against her Apple Watch. "I've wanted an Oura Ring for quite some time but I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for it. Anyway, I've been wearing it now for nearly 24 hours... I love it, it's great," she said.

Customers are already racing to buy what they describe as the "perfect dupe" of a high-end smartwatch, with some reporting that the item is already sold out at their local store.
Retail strategy and sleep range
Kmart Australia, a major discount department store chain owned by conglomerate Wesfarmers, is currently positioning itself in its wellness era to make healthy living more accessible for busy Australians. The overall range spans items from walking pads to sleep pod earphones, humidifiers and activewear, with prices starting from as little as $2.

"At Kmart, we're always looking for ways to bring the latest trends and everyday solutions to our customers at accessible price points," Kmart's Merchandise Director James Brennan said.
"Whether someone is trying a new wellness trend, building a routine for the first time or simply looking for affordable products to support their everyday lifestyle, our Wellness collection offers a broad range of options at Kmart's low prices."

Creating a comfortable sleep environment continues to be a major focus for shoppers. New consumer research conducted by Kmart found that 40 per cent of Australians are spending time optimising their sleep routine and bedroom environment.
The sleep collection includes top picks such as the Cooling Memory Foam Pillow ($35) and Temperature Regulating Quilt (from $69), designed to provide comfort throughout the night. Smaller additions like Silk Pillowcases ($30) and Sleep Pod Earphones ($25) are offered to help customers create a personalized bedtime routine.

Shoppers can also look to affordable new-season finds like the Air Purifiers (from $50), Humidifiers (from $20) and Sunrise Alarm Clock ($39) to easily refresh their bedroom spaces.
Home fitness and recovery gear
Wearable technology continues to grow in popularity, prompting the retailer to add a Smart LED Watch ($39) and a GPS Smartwatch ($59) to its lineup. For home fitness setups, Kmart has introduced a Walking Pad ($199), a viral Vibration Plate ($99), a Vibration Ball ($19) and various Pilates accessories.
The Pilates items include Ankle Weights ($12 to $29), a Reformer Mat ($6) and a Pilates Ring ($12). Pilates is a low-impact exercise method designed to improve flexibility, posture and core strength.
For shoppers embracing the activewear-as-everyday-wear trend, the new women's fitness range features coordinated Crop and Bike Short separates (from $12) in versatile colourways. To assist with muscle recovery after workouts, the range includes a Compact Massage Gun ($29), an Acupressure Mat ($15) and a Vibrating Red Light Belt ($69).

Self care tools and skin treatments
As more Australians embrace self-care hobbies and intentional downtime, the collection includes products designed to encourage moments of relaxation and creativity. These include Self-Care & Wellness Journals (from $6), Adult Colouring Books (from $10), a Salt Lamp ($20) and a Rose Quartz Face Roller ($11).
Set to become one of the best-selling beauty tools, the LED Light Therapy Mask ($49) offers a non-invasive way to help rejuvenate and refresh a complexion from the comfort of home. Featuring three LED light modes (red, blue and yellow), the lightweight, portable and rechargeable mask makes it easy to elevate self-care rituals.

Shopper Britt praised the product during the Melbourne preview. "It's such a great introduction to a face mask because it's really affordable and you can decide whether you want to buy a more expensive one," she said. "It's really good, I like it."
The beauty lineup is rounded out by Hydrating, Soothing and Repairing Sheet Masks ($2), bringing popular self-care trends into the home at accessible prices.
Meal prep and store availability
Kmart has taken kitchen organisation to a new level by expanding its range of meal prep and food storage solutions with stainless steel, glass, silicone and bamboo options designed to combine style and functionality for daily routines.
Expected to be a customer favourite, the Portable Glass Air Fryer ($99), available in stores now, offers a stylish addition to any meal preparation setup.
New products will continue to land in stores over the coming weeks, including additional food storage options. Customers can shop the collection in-store, online and via the Kmart App while stocks last.
