Reality television star Kim Zolciak and her boyfriend Kyle Mowitz have publicly addressed her estranged husband Kroy Biermann dating Mowitz's ex-wife Jillian Green.
The couple responded after Biermann and Green made their relationship public during a PDA-filled hike in Georgia, where the pair shared a kiss during their latest outing.
Speaking in a video shared by TMZ on August 17, Zolciak dismissed the budding romance between her former husband and Green. "I don't care. We don't care," the former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta said. "I've provided for Kroy for 10 years, so I'm sure he just wants another [provider] and [to] be a kept man."
Mowitz, an entrepreneur who filed for divorce from Green in 2025 after seven years of marriage, expressed a similar lack of concern over the relationship. "I don't think they're doing it out of spite," he added. E! News reached out to attorneys for Biermann, a former NFL player, but did not immediately receive a response.
Biermann and Green first sparked romance rumors in May after being spotted on a walk together, months before their recent public appearance in Georgia.
New Romance and Family Support
While Biermann moves forward with Green, Zolciak is focusing on her relationship with Mowitz, which began in the spring of 2025 after the couple met through a mutual fan.
"He's the funniest person I know and that's my favorite thing," Zolciak said in the TMZ clip. "He loves my kids so much and my kids love him. That's super important. He's just my best friend. We've been through a lot together, so it's only up from here, though."
Zolciak added that Mowitz has been a major support system while she travels for work. "He supports me," she explained. "He's watching the dogs and stuff when I'm working in London and all that. He's a very big help."
However, Mowitz has no interest in joining his girlfriend on television. When asked whether he would consider making his reality television debut alongside Zolciak, Mowitz answered, "Absolutely not."
Zolciak is mother to six children: Brielle Biermann, 29, Ariana Biermann, 24, K.J. Biermann, 15, Kash Biermann, 14, and 12-year-old twins Kaia Biermann and Ren Biermann, also referred to as Kane in court filings, from her relationship with the former athlete.
Initial Divorce Filing and Custody Demands
The reaction to Biermann's new romance comes amid a long and contentious legal battle between Zolciak and her estranged husband. Zolciak first filed for divorce from Biermann on May 8, 2023, after 11 years of marriage.
Court documents obtained by TMZ listed the couple's date of separation as April 30, 2023. In her filing, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum stated that the marriage was "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation."
In her initial paperwork, Zolciak requested primary physical custody of the couple's four minor children, as well as joint legal custody. Biermann had previously legally adopted her two oldest daughters, Brielle and Ariana, after the couple married.
One day after Zolciak's petition, Biermann filed his own legal response on May 9, 2023, requesting sole legal and physical custody of the four younger children.
Legal documents obtained by E! News showed that both parties were served a summons requiring them to complete a domestic intake worksheet to monitor the treatment of their children over a 30-day period. Biermann also asked the court for exclusive, temporary, and permanent possession of their shared Georgia home and any properties purchased during the marriage while both were still living in the residence.
Drug Screening Claims and Public Shock
The divorce quickly grew bitter in court. On May 16, 2023, the Don't Be Tardy star filed a motion demanding that Biermann undergo drug testing. Documents obtained by E! News revealed that Zolciak alleged she had witnessed Biermann "smoking marijuana, and she has serious concerns for the safety and well-being" of their children.
Zolciak requested a five-panel hair follicle drug screen to assist the court in determining custody arrangements, specifically asking that the court order Biermann not to cut his hair prior to the test.
On the same day she filed the drug testing motion, Zolciak posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories regarding relationship dynamics. "The highest form of love is consideration," the quoted text read. "When someone thinks about how things would make you feel. Pays attention to detail. Holds you in regard when making decisions that could affect you. In any bond, how much they care about you can be found in how much they consider you." She captioned the quote with a 100 emoji.
On May 24, 2023, Zolciak shared another pointed quote on social media. "Manipulation is when they blame you for your reaction to their toxic behavior, but never discuss their disrespect that triggered you," the image read. Below the text, Zolciak wrote in capital letters, "Read that again..."
The sudden split caught close associates off guard, including executive producer and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen. Speaking on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live on May 9, 2023, Cohen admitted he was shocked by the news. "I was very surprised," Cohen said. "That was not the news I ever expected to get. They seemed so much in love and just together. I mean, they were a couple that, yeah, I thought they were in it for the long haul."
Reconciliation Attempts and Dismissals
Amid the public fallout, Zolciak received support from her family. On May 19, 2023, her daughter Ariana shared a beach photo on Instagram for Zolciak's 53rd birthday, writing, "You are the strongest woman I know!!! Thank you for all you do! I am so proud of you mom! cheers to 53." Her eldest daughter Brielle also posted a photo of the pair drinking wine, writing, "Happy birthday mom! I love you so much!"
Weeks later, Zolciak removed her married surname from her social media accounts. On June 8, 2023, she debuted her updated Instagram handle while teasing a return to reality television alongside original cast members Lisa Wu, DeShawn Snow, and Sherée Whitfield, writing, "See you soon."
Despite the heated court filings, the couple attempted to reconcile two months after their initial breakup. On July 7, 2023, Zolciak filed documents to dismiss her divorce petition, according to Georgia court records obtained by E! News.
Biermann's attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, confirmed the decision to E! News at the time, stating that "the parties are dismissing their divorce action and attempting a reconciliation." The announcement followed photographs of the couple attending church together alongside their four youngest children.
Zolciak signaled that the marriage was back on by sharing an Instagram Story on July 11, 2023, showing herself wearing her wedding ring once again.
Second Filing and Ongoing Relations
The reconciliation proved short lived. On August 24, 2023, Biermann filed for divorce a second time, stating according to TMZ that the marriage was "irretrievably broken." He petitioned the court for sole legal and physical custody of their four minor children, as well as alimony and child support.
Zolciak responded on September 25, 2023, by filing a new motion to dismiss Biermann's second petition. In documents obtained by E! News, she claimed that the couple was still intimate despite the court proceedings.
"Contrary to the claims made in the Petition for Divorce, the parties have engaged in marital sexual relations on multiple occasions since the filing of the Petition for Divorce," the legal filing stated, noting the relationship continued "most recently on or about September 7, 2023."
The couple continued to display mixed signals in public. On November 11, 2023, Zolciak and Biermann reunited to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary over an intimate Italian dinner.
Legal proceedings remained stalled until February 2025, when the couple officially resumed their divorce case. Biermann reiterated in court papers that his marriage to the "Tardy to the Party" singer was "irretrievably broken."
Custody Battle Escalation and Court Statements
The legal battle reached a significant milestone in April 2026 when a judge issued a temporary ruling regarding custody. According to court documents obtained by E! News, Zolciak temporarily lost primary physical custody of her four minor children to Biermann.
While the judge ruled that both parents would retain joint legal custody, Biermann was awarded final decision-making authority over the children's educational, religious, and non-emergency medical needs.
In filings leading up to the ruling obtained by TMZ in April 2026, Biermann made severe accusations against his estranged wife. He claimed Zolciak was "both unstable and unfit" as a parent, asserting she was "more selfishly concerned with her own image and her work options than with the opinions of experts and/or the best interest of the children."
Zolciak's legal team strongly denied the allegations in a statement to TMZ in April 2026. "[Kroy's] decision to file this motion lacks factual support and is unwarranted," her attorneys said. "We will address these claims in the proper legal forum and will vigorously defend the truth in court, rather than through public discourse."
Zolciak also addressed the temporary custody decision directly in a statement to E! News. "While I want this process to be over for my children more than anything, I am looking forward to a full court date when we will finally be provided with an opportunity to present the truth," she said.
