Television personality Kelly Osbourne has said she feels reborn while enjoying a seaside holiday with her three-year-old son Sidney, following the departure of her ex-fiancé Sid Wilson from heavy metal band Slipknot.

The 41-year-old reality star relaxed by a swimming pool and spent time on the beach with friends, months after her split from the 49-year-old keyboardist in March.

Kelly Osbourne has said she 'feels reborn' as she 'stepped away from the madness' to enjoy a relaxing holiday after her ex fiance Sid Wilson was fired from Slipknot

Posing in a leopard print swimming costume accessorised with a large sun hat and statement sunglasses, Osbourne shared pictures from the break with her followers on Instagram.

"I’m really learning how important it is to step away from the madness sometimes," Osbourne wrote. "I get so wrapped up in life, work, people, plans… everything going on around me, that I genuinely forget I’m allowed to stop. To switch off. To breathe. To just be."

She explained that taking time off had helped her reset after a difficult period.

"This holiday has reminded me that taking a break isn’t wasting time, sometimes it’s exactly what you need to come back to yourself," she added. "I honestly feel reborn. Lighter, calmer, happier… and very much NOT ready to go home. Note to self: do this more often. Life will still be there when you get back."

Social media statements following Slipknot departure

The seaside vacation comes a week after Osbourne appeared to hit out at her ex-fiancé on social media following news that he had been ousted from Slipknot.

Slipknot announced they would "no longer be associated" with Wilson after 28 years with the group. While the reasons behind his departure remain unclear, Wilson was apparently informed earlier this month that he had been permanently removed from the lineup.

Shortly after the announcement, Osbourne shared a series of impassioned posts on her Instagram Story addressing an unnamed party.

"I can't protect you from yourself anymore. Wake the f**k up and take some responsibility. I will not take your s**t anymore. I'm done," she wrote. "I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone. Let me heal."

In a subsequent post, she reflected on accountability and personal responsibility.

"Strange how the loudest defence of the guilty is rarely innocence... It's distraction," she posted. "When the mask slips, they don't face the mirror they throw it at someone else. I heard that when you break a mirror you get seven years bad luck. Or is that karma? This is why I always take accountability. As they say some are sicker than others."

In another message, Osbourne added direct financial and personal demands: "Also while I'm at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions Oh yeah and maybe some child support?"

She also posted additional quotes and a poem focused on protecting her child. Representatives for Wilson were contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.

Relationship history and engagement split

Osbourne and Wilson first met when Slipknot toured as part of Ozzfest, the heavy metal music festival founded by her parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. The pair maintained a close friendship for 23 years before their relationship turned romantic.

In February 2022, Osbourne confirmed their relationship on Valentine's Day by sharing a photo of them kissing. "After 23 years of friendship, I can't believe where we have ended up," she wrote at the time. "You are my best friend, my soulmate, and I am so deeply in love with you, Sidney George Wilson."

The couple welcomed their son, Sidney, later that year, and lived together on a farm in Iowa.

Wilson proposed to Osbourne in 2025 backstage at her late father Ozzy Osbourne's final concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. He presented her with a large diamond ring in front of her family, including her mother Sharon and brother Jack Osbourne, in a moment Osbourne later said was a total surprise.

However, the couple quietly ended their engagement in March, just seven months after the proposal. They were last photographed together publicly at the Grammy Awards in February, after which Osbourne was only seen accompanied by friends or her mother.

Sources close to the star told the Daily Mail that Osbourne had experienced a difficult month coping with the end of the relationship alongside the loss of her father.

While it is currently unclear what the reason behind Sid's departure is, Kelly shared an impassioned Instagram post, where she wrote: 'I can't protect you from yourself anymore'

"Kelly and Sid have decided to call off their engagement," a source revealed. "Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she's been doing everything she can to cope."

The source noted that the pair had faced ongoing relationship challenges, saying: "In truth, she and Sid have been facing challenges in their relationship for some time, and things were not as they appeared. They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward."

Kelly went on to say: 'Strange how the loudest defence of the guilty is rarely innocence... It's distraction. When the mask slips, they don't face the mirror they throw it at someone else.'

The insider added: "Kelly has endured a great deal over the past year. Despite everything, she remains sober and is now focusing on herself and her role as a mother moving ahead."

Slipknot lineup changes over three decades

Wilson originally joined Slipknot in early 1998 as the ninth member during the band's expansion in Des Moines, Iowa. Known for their distinct masks and aggressive heavy metal sound, the band rose to international fame following their 1999 self-titled debut album.

The band's classic nine-member lineup comprised vocalist Corey Taylor, percussionist Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison, bassist Paul Gray, guitarist Mick Thomson, guitarist Jim Root, keyboardist Craig Jones, percussionist Chris Fehn, and Wilson.

Over the subsequent decades, the group experienced major lineup shifts. Bassist Paul Gray died from an accidental drug overdose in 2010, while drummer Joey Jordison departed in 2013 and later passed away in his sleep in 2021.

Percussionist Chris Fehn was dismissed from the group in 2019 following a legal dispute regarding compensation. In 2023, keyboardist Craig Jones exited under circumstances that were never publicly disclosed.

Following Wilson's removal, only four members from Slipknot's celebrated classic lineup remain active in the band: Corey Taylor, Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Jim Root.
