Spanish socialite Isabel Preysler arrived in Marbella last week to begin her annual August summer holiday on the Costa del Sol.
The 75-year-old media figure started her vacation with an outing alongside female friends through the historic Old Town, where she browsed local craft boutiques.
During the stroll, Preysler visited several shops and bought handmade items. A shopkeeper at one of the stores told Spanish newspaper LA RAZÓN that Preysler selected products of the kind she has long enjoyed purchasing from artisanal shops in the Old Town.
This year, the mother of Spanish aristocrat Tamara Falcó is strictly maintaining her figure and chose not to eat churros or drink hot chocolate. Reporters confirmed that she walked past the sweet shop owned by her close friend, hospitality businessman Pedro Trapote, resisting temptation during her visit.
Dressed in a casual and sporty outfit, Preysler greeted tourists who approached her with great courtesy. Preysler, who was previously married to singer Julio Iglesias and late Spanish finance minister Miguel Boyer, has holidayed in Marbella for decades, describing the resort city as the town of unowned song.
Shopping and Dining in the Historic Resort
As in previous years, Preysler returned to El Ancla, a high-profile seafood restaurant located directly on the Mediterranean sea front in Marbella. The establishment serves Mediterranean cuisine and fresh sea produce, acting as a gathering spot for international celebrities.
The beachfront venue was also a favourite dining spot of her late former partner, the Peruvian-Spanish Nobel laureate writer Mario Vargas Llosa.
Whenever Preysler visits Marbella, she spends time with her long-time close friends José María Amusategui, the prominent Spanish banker, and his wife Amalia. The couple routinely welcome her whenever she visits the southern coastal city.
Their friendship dates back to when Preysler was married to Miguel Boyer. During those years, the four friends frequently gathered at La Fonda, a legendary Marbella restaurant popular with the jet set that reopened a few months ago as a meeting place for nostalgic patrons.
Local photographers have already documented her latest trip to ensure the summer tradition continues in the media, with reports indicating her outings may feature on magazine covers later this week. Preysler remains one of the most photographed public figures in Spain.
Family Milestones and Summer Plans
This year's summer break comes during a significant period for Preysler's family following the birth of her new granddaughter, Mía, in 2026.
The newborn is the first daughter for Preysler's youngest daughter, Ana Boyer, and her husband, former professional tennis player Fernando Verdasco. The birth of Mía made them a large family with four children.
For Preysler, the arrival of the new generation provides another opportunity to enjoy time with her children and grandchildren during summer gatherings.
