Helena Christensen embraced the 1990s bandana trend as she enjoyed a peaceful dog walk in New York on Tuesday. The Danish supermodel, 57, paired the accessory with a gingham minidress and strappy sandals for the outing.
Christensen looked effortlessly chic in the black and white dress, priced at £35.99 ($48) and made by high street fashion brand Mango. She showcased her age-defying appearance while going makeup-free for the walk around the city.

A modeling career spanning decades
Christensen's modeling career took off when she won the Miss Universe Denmark title in 1986. She became a household name after appearing in Chris Isaak's music video for "Wicked Game" and went on to become one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels.
Relationships with Michael Hutchence and Norman Reedus
Christensen's personal life has included high-profile relationships in music and television. She dated the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence for five years in the early 1990s.

In 1998 she began a relationship with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, 57, which lasted five years. The couple welcomed their son, Mingus Lucien Reedus, in 1999, and separated in 2003, though they have remained co-parents. Christensen later dated Interpol singer Paul Banks, 48, for seven years.
Earlier this year, Christensen celebrated Mother's Day with Mingus, now 26, sharing a photo of the pair having lunch together.

Mingus Reedus's assault case
Last year, Mingus was arrested and charged with assault and harassment. He was taken into custody on August 23, and reportedly made a disturbing threat when he emerged the day after his arrest.
He allegedly punched a female victim in the leg, causing redness, before choking her and slamming her to the ground. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In March, it was revealed that his case could ultimately be dismissed if he remains arrest free for one year, according to People.
