Actress Helen Flanagan is charging £60 for signed photographs at a fan event in Telford next month after speaking out about her financial struggles as a single mother.
The former Coronation Street star, 36, will appear at the For The Love of Retro convention on September 5, organizers announced this week. Ticket listings confirm fans can purchase an autograph or a photo with Flanagan for £31.50 each, or pay £60 for signed photo packages.
The public appearance comes after her former partner, professional footballer Scott Sinclair, sold the Lancashire property where Flanagan had lived with their three children, Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and five-year-old Charlie.
Property sale and money struggles
Flanagan, who rose to fame playing Rosie Webster on the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, recently vacated the family residence following the sale. The Daily Mail revealed last month that Sinclair sold the six-bedroom property in Lancashire for £945,000, despite initially putting it up for sale for £1.5 million in May 2025.
Land Registry records, maintained by the government department responsible for property ownership in England and Wales, confirm the house was purchased by a couple who run a property management company.
Sinclair, 37, a winger who has played for clubs including Celtic and Swansea City, purchased the residence in cash for £840,000 in June 2021 and was listed as the sole registered owner. The couple split in 2022 after 13 years together, having never married.
Although financial arrangements between the former couple remain private, a friend of the television personality previously said: "Scott pays for the house and all the bills and he's decided a six-bedroom place is way too big for Helen on her own with the kids."
Flanagan, who was once reported to be worth £3.5 million, previously disclosed that she was experiencing financial difficulties as a single mother, claiming at one point that she could not afford taxi fares to take her son to nursery.
Tensions over marital home and furnishings
The relationship between the couple unravelled just a year after they moved into the Lancashire home. Disagreements over property maintenance costs soon escalated, with Sinclair reportedly seeking to stop paying maintenance and utility bills for the house.
Flanagan argued she had put much of her own money into renovating the property, with parts of it redecorated and remodelled. A £15,000 sofa became a major bone of contention after the breakup, leading Sinclair to step in and block the sale of the settee in May after Flanagan listed it on Instagram for £3,950.
Following the house sale, Flanagan opened up to followers in an Instagram video regarding her career and personal uncertainty. "I've not really been sure of myself recently," she said. "I kind of feel like… I'm turning 36 in August, I've just done this house move, I'm kind of unsure where I am like career wise as well. There's a lot of change going on and I don't know, I've just felt a bit weird in myself."
Addressing her relocation options, she added: "I'm in two minds about moving to London. I was going to buy here then I decided not to buy here so everything's just been a bit, like, all over the place. I've just felt frustrated with work as well because I really want to act and basically, I just want a job at the moment and feel frustrated in that way."
Single parenting during the school holidays
Flanagan broke down in tears on Instagram on Tuesday as she shared her struggles with being a single mother during the six-week school summer break. She uploaded a photograph of herself looking emotional and drained, calling for schools to reopen and revealing that Sinclair had not seen the children in nearly a month.
In her post, she listed phrases she had used around the house recently, including: "Can mummy please wipe her bum in peace?", "Stop fighting", "I am a person", "I am not your “bro” I am your mum", "No treats if your not good", "Can mummy just have 5 minutes?", and "I love you so much."
Later the same day, Flanagan documented a trip to Chester Zoo with her two youngest children, admitting to feeling very overwhelmed among the chaos of her new house while unpacking boxes after moving out of the family home. "Im really overwhelmed in the house there is still so much unpacking and boxes so it’s chaos and I can’t return any of my emails or phone calls with these two," she wrote.
She praised her parents for their support during the move, adding: "Matilda had her settling in at secondary school and mum held the fort there x My mum and dad are amazing and help me so much with juggling the kids activities and whenever I need to work x."
In a subtle reference to her former partner, Flanagan wrote: "The kids dad has not had them for nearly a month so when he does I’ll get a break x I think I speak for all mums over the school holidays- we are tired but love them so much and so many amazing memories made x. I can’t wait to go to the gym, have back physio, have a tidy house and I really miss my friends x The six hours they are at school you can do so much x."
Flanagan concluded her message by reflecting on her identity beyond motherhood: "I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my children but I just feel like mummy completely and I want to find Helen too soon."
