Singer Filipp Kirkorov told the Stars of Russian Radio festival in Zavidovo that he will star alongside protege Margo in a New Year film. Fifth Channel reported his comments from the event.
Kirkorov explained that he will play the role of Koshchei. He declined to reveal who Margo will portray, saying her role should remain a surprise and that her appearance in the movie is intended as shock content.
Fairy tale cast details
Filming began in July for the holiday blockbuster Very Fairy-Tale Affairs. Timur Batrutdinov stars as Elemelya, a new version of the fairy-tale hero Emelya. The movie continues a series of New Year films featuring Batrutdinov, including Self-Irony of Fate, Ivan Vasilievich Changes Everything, Un-Diamond Arm, and The Incredible Adventures of Shurik.
Andrei Gaidulyan appears as the gusli player Alesha, while Vladimir Epifantsev, Vladimir Yaglych, and Alexei Vorobyov play three bogatyrs. Yana Koshkina plays a mermaid, Valentina Rubtsova portrays the giantess Titaneya, and Igor Oznobikhin plays a mushroom man. Ida Galich previously shared the role she dreamed of playing in cinema.
