Farmer Victoria Lee, 37, rode her Swiss cow White Chocolate Button to her church wedding ceremony in Mark, Somerset. Mrs Lee described the animal as "pretty much my best friend."
The cow carried Mrs Lee along the final stretch of her journey to the church after she travelled to the Somerset village on a tractor. Accompanied by her bridesmaids on foot, Mrs Lee approached the church on board her cow.
Farm upbringing and training
Mrs Lee grew up on her family farm in Dorset, where she began riding cows because she was not allowed to have ponies. "I grew up on my family's farm in Dorset and we weren't allowed ponies so I started riding cows," she said.
When preparing for her wedding, Mrs Lee decided to train White Chocolate Button for the event. "I thought why not train White Chocolate Button to take me to church," she said.
Mrs Lee also attempted to train another of her cows, named Basil, to be ridden, but the animal was not keen. "She tried to roll me off," Mrs Lee added, stating "so we left her alone." White Chocolate Button has also been dressed up as a ghost for Halloween using a bedsheet with cut-out eyes and ears.
Post-ceremony routine
Following the service, groomsmen held farming tools up in a guard of honour for the newlyweds before guests travelled to the reception. Behind them, Mrs Lee and her new husband Mike left the church to return to their farm.
The couple stopped off at the farm to drop off White Chocolate Button, who was not invited to the reception. While at the farm, Mrs Lee and her husband milked the cows before joining their guests at the reception.
