Many agree that it was the time of the 1990s that many of cinema’s greatest action heroes, from Steven Seagal to Bruce Willis, were born. And since it’s never too late for a good dose of adrenaline, we present you some action films that have become classics of the 90s and that you should watch again, if you haven’t.

As we have already mentioned, Steven Seagal together with Tommy Lee Jones starred in one of classic 90s action movies. It is ‘Under Siege’, released in 1002 and directed by Andrew Davis, and which follows a former special forces member of the Navy SEALs, who must prevent terrorists from taking control of a ship carrying a nuclear weapon. Outright lies

It is true that there are several action movies that have become classics by Arnold Schwarzenegger, but it is 1994’s ‘True Lies’, directed by James Cameron, that many remember. Jamie Lee Curtis also stars in this story of a secret agent who discovers his wife is having an affair with a car salesman, while waging war against terrorists.

Speed

In the same spirit, Keanu Reeves also became an action hero of the nineties with ‘Speed’ with Sandra Bullock. Jan de Bont’s story follows Jack Traven, an LAPD officer who goes up against a bomb expert who wants a big reward for keeping a bus going fast or else it will explode. Available on Star+.

Die hard 2

Known in some places as ‘Die Hard’ and in others as ‘Die Hard’, ‘Die Hard 2’ is one of the most classic action movies of the nineties. Bruce Willis plays John McClane, a New York detective who this time has returned from retirement on Christmas Eve to prevent terrorists from taking over the international airport. Although officers Riggs and Murtaugh were born years earlier, the “Lethal Weapon” saga had its best episode with Richard Donner’s third film with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.
